THANK YOU... too bad it's not for 64x....

You can get it to work on x64 no problem.

64 bit OS that is. But you need a DAW than can auto-bridge it.

It works for me fine in 64 bit Samplitude and 64 bit FLStudio and 64 bit Bitwig. I also keep 32bit versions of DAWs on my x64 OS just for plugins like this - it's worth it.

I expect REAPER would work just as well as that also auto-bridges x32 plugins in the x64 bit DAW.

It also works very well in Ableton Live (I'm using version 10.1.14) x64 Win 7 with Jbridge

Did a little update to the Hypersonic 2 plugin myself:

https://i.postimg.cc/t70T1pHG/HYPER.png

Just a few colors changed, nothing very much, but I find it easier on the eye.

Just a work in progress as there's one or two elements that I'd like to change.

If you look closely just to the right of the Steinberg logo in the original version, there is a black rectangle for some strange reason. It was not covering up anything and was just there for the sake of it. As you can see in 2.1, it has been removed.

Is this a new version or the one from the early 2000’s?

It is a new version as you can see in the screenshot, but the functionality and usability are not modified in any way. It's a GUI update.

I was just gonna ask about this. It seems to be a .dll and named the same. The contents are not altered in any way so it kind of verifies what you've said. I am wondering what is new by overwriting the .dll Just the way it looks? I'd do it if there was any real benefit. Seems not.

Great man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much !

Can I copy it over the "AIR Internal" Version ?

You're very welcome. Yes, of course. In addition to included instructions, there is also the same .dll to overwrite for the standalone if you want, at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Hypersonic 2

I deleted the .dll there, then I dropped a symlink from the one in the plugins folder as source.

This is one of my all time favorite plugins. I have it installed right now, and it runs well bridged on portable reaper. Good sound never goes out of date, and this is one example. It's a great plugin. It's not 64 bit but that doesn't stop me from using it on my 64 bit machine. I am going to download this and see if it does update. I may already have this running. If you haven't tried this I recommend it. You cannot tell by listening to the sound that is it 32 bit. Steinberg makes good quality stuff and has for some time. It does not bother me at all that this is not current. I use it a lot. If you haven't tried it I recommend it.

It's a great little ROMpler with a bunch of bread and butter sounds. Before I got into Kontakt, I used this one all the time.

I still use this even though I use kontakt too. Love the plugin but I see no real value here. Anyone?

Loads of value. It hardly touches the CPU. You can get 1 instance of it running 16 part multi-timbral. This means the plugin does not need to be loaded 16 times, just once, but you can have 16 different sounds. Very efficient.

If you run a 32 bit system (and this plugin is only 32 bit native) then it means you are limited to about 4GB of RAM. So this plugin is a boon for those systems.

The sounds are very good. There is a lot of them. On top of that they are very tweakable. Also the plugin is stable. Once you get it running properly it never crashes.

Even if you don't keep an old 32 bit system up and running, then at least try it bridged in the DAWs that do auto bridging (as mentioned above). Or even use a bridging app like JBridge or Elements or Metaplugin etc. etc.

I have a template where I set it up as a 16 part multi-timbral instrument in FLStudio. And it works perfectly, 64 bit too! It provides great sounds and is as light on the CPU than can hope to get for sounds of this quality. The sound designers were Wizoo I believe who went on to do some great Reverb plugins for Steinberg and eventually got bought out and became Air which Akai are now pushing pretty heavy. Quality stuff.

It isn't a Rompler. It has a fantastic synth in it.

I think Koop meant he sees no real value in downloading this version because it's only colour changes.
I agree with everything else you said though, a fantastic VST, around 1% CPU per voice on my i7 4790k, loads of fantastic sounds and easy to edit and produce new sounds, especially with layering up multiple channels, which I find by far the fastest way to make a new sound on any VST.

How are you able to bridge Hypersonic? I tried bridging with BridgeWize, but BridgeWize says it cannot find license in Elicenser

ps I run Hypersonic 2 in FL Studio with no problems, FL Studio loads most 32 bit VSTs with no problems.

Same here. I briefly remember having to mess around with the "compatibility" options of the program itself.

The NB-3 Tonewheel organs have a too short release time, not always is a clicky note end desired. No release time adjustment for the tone-wheels page, a pity, because otherwise the sound is nice and flexible ....

Nice! Just to let y’all know, if you’ve ever bought Halion Sonic version 1, you have a legit license for this and don’t have to use the dongle emulator.
