Release notes for Superior Drummer 3.3.1
2022-05-24

Superior Drummer 3.3.1 is now available to download using the Product Manager or from the ‘My Products’ area in your Toontrack account. Please note that version 3.3.1 is required for the support of Superior Drummer 3 products released from this point forward (Q2 2022).

CHANGES
Settings

Restoring the factory MIDI database (under Advanced) now attempts to preserve all user-added MIDI libraries.
BUG FIXES
General

Adding or deleting the VST 3 plug-in in Cakewalk could cause a crash.
In REAPER on Windows, it should now be possible to drag MIDI from DAW tracks (by holding ctrl+alt) directly to the plug-in.
Song Track

Recording MIDI while having the Grid Editor open caused a crash.
Edit Play Style

In the context menu for instruments in Edit Play Style, the quantize options for triplets and 1/32 did not quantize correctly.
Changing velocity in Edit Play Style and then selecting another song block should no longer cause a crash.
Drums Tab

Fixed a potential crash when previewing hi-hats from another library.
It should no longer crash if you try to stack instruments and SD3 reaches the internal limit for number of mics. Instead a dialog is shown.
Grooves Tab

The internal MIDI database change that happened in version 3.3.0 would delete all databases for user-added MIDI libraries as well as all favourite marks (stars) in them. Now when such upgrades are performed (for example from 3.2.8 to 3.3.1), all those libraries and the favourites should be preserved.
The e-drum preset indicator was never shown on third-party MIDI folders (those that have been installed in the same location as Toontrack MIDI libraries).
Tracker

Trying to load broken/empty/unsupported audio files should no longer cause crashes.
Installer

On Windows, the standalone was installed in an unexpected directory on some localized systems in some circumstances.

anyone ever restore midi to factory? wondering if itll remove all my added libraries or not. this one is supposed to leave them.

I didnt install this one yet but last version didnt delete exist MIDI files, i needed to add some libraries again in VSTI. V.R's early versions of Superior and EZDrummer deleted MIDI files before but its not happening in last releases.

I installed everything works fine, it didnt delete any MIDI files and no need to add any MIDI library again.

Ok, for anyone wondering, it seems you can use this file as the main installer, but you will also need the actual library files. There are three parts:
1) the main library file (SL-SuperiorDrummer3_SDX_Part1)
2) the library updater (libary update v1.2)
3) the core midi library (TT387_Superior3_Core_MIDI)
Install them in that order.

Vst2 is perfect ..but vst3 is litle slower for load and for changes on mix sidebar.
im using on W11 Reaper

in SuperiorDrummer, go to setting menu / advanced / restore midi database and "restore instrument database".

Cant load any ezx sound, cant even change the path in the settings menu.
