Reaper indexes for 10 minutes then crashes every time! Someone please link the .db of the presets please!

I unchecked the installation of the 2 gazillion presets. Scanning in a few seconds done, running fine.

I uninstalled, installed 1.5.10 VR release to a different directory, reinstalled to the different directory - ALL GOOD - WORKING PERFECTLY!!!

Cubase 12 tip if library index timeout/crash :

1/ cancel timeout will add Spire to blacklist
2/ once c12 loaded unblacklist Spire
3/ add spire as new instrument lane
4/ use "rescan" button when spire opened says "workspace error"
5/ wait for scan to achieve

Your way is wrong. When Cubase starts VST scan it will show popup about latency, dont touch anything and just wait. Cubase is not just scanning VST, meantime Spire creating database. V.R says it could take 10 min but it took 6 min here.

Enough sounds to flick through for the rest of anyone's life, confusion dementia deciding which sounds are better than the rest and usable. Another life time after death in heaven re-arranging the better usable sounds into custom best of sound banks.

This update brings 4 new reverb types and a few fixed bugs, also some new presets in the factory bank.. You decide if it worth it.

This particular release from VR, as always bring thousands of presets.

My recent experience:
1. Last night I uninstalled 1.5.10 and installed this one.
2. When I tried to load Cubase 12 it froze for about two minutes then said it blocklisted Spire.
3. I unblocked Spire which then commanded me to rescan the library. I did. About 20 minutes later it returned with empty folders.
4. Thinking that Defender was blocking Spire, I moved the presets from AppData/Roaming to Documents, then rescanned. About an hour (!) later it returned with empty folders in Cubase again.
5. I loaded up S1 5.5 and it also had the same issues with Spire, so...
6. I uninstalled Spire this AM and cleared my registry of any Reveal Sound references.
7. I re-installed Spire, but this time, opened it first in Studio One. Boom. Everything works fine.
8. Now it also works in Cubase. Moral of the story? Cubase 12 hates VST 2 plugins unless it's called Padshop or Retrologue.
