It works with Cubase 10.5 but VST scan process took few minutes. If Cubase added to blacklist you need to delete from blacklist file and do rescan.

Vst2xPlugin Blacklist Cubase.xml file in c:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 10.5_64\

Open that file with Notepad and search "spire" and delete between <item> and </item> lines like this ;

Size differences could be about compression cause i dont think there is something more in R2R's release. Example, in this release there is 640 banks = 340 MB, when you compress with RAR it becomes 12 MB.

Appreciate the ability to use this. I never used it in the past and I am surprised that it only now has a browser.
Unfortunately, due to long bank names it is not as useful for browsing by vendor.
It seems that almost NO vendor puts their info in the available places when saving the banks.

Well it is too bad that there isn't an unspoken rule that patches be contained in a "Vendor Name" folder, and then the Banks would not need the vendor name.
It is also too bad that so many don't put in vendor info in their own banks / patches.

Well, yeah. I did notice they created a strange folder in plugin location (Spire-1.5_x64),
and placed the presets there as well.
I have seen that done in the past many times, but the only one I have that way right now is u-he stuff (by R2R). The 'standard' now seems to be in the user's "Documents" folder.

Even though the changes may be "major", IF the VST is compatible with previous version shouldn't the name be kept the SAME?
If it is renamed and there is no warning, it means either having to rescan with each DAW or program that uses the VST, or end-user renaming it.
IF they know enough to WANT to run 2 versions at the same time, why not leave it to the user to rename it ?

Now some may say if you are using cracked plugins you should be prepared to sort out the weirdness or errors, etc...
But i call bullshit on that.
Mistakes? Yes... I will never complain much about simple mistakes..those will happen.
But I won't let "being creative" or being lazy pass without whining like a baby!
