Automation lanes
Automated track parameters such as volume, panorama or VST effect parameters can be displayed and operated in lanes inside an audio track. The control elements in the track header offer lots of options for operating and switching the parameters.

Multiformat export
The export dialog box in Sequoia 15 now also offers simultaneous export of audio material in multiple Surround formats as well as of various codec configurations. All export settings you create can be saved as presets.

Plug-in browser
Fast access to all effect and instrument plug-ins. The workflow has been designed to enable users to locate and start working with a plug-in faster than ever before, only using keyboard commands.

thanks for the release, but engineers? sorry for being nitpicky but engineering is a 4 year degree with a ton of math and physics, audio engineers refers to a time when you had to do a good bit of engineering for audio as opposed to just using software

No.
Sequoia 16 is still not "cracked".

If you apply the Sequoia 15 Protein files in a Sequoia 16 installation you'll get a messy version of Sequoia that won't work.

File format of unknown file endings (e.g. .DAT) is detected and maintained if no target format is specified
- Crossfade editor:
Lower border of arranger can now be grabbed and moved;
Last position of this border will be restored upon next opening of the CFE
- Panning:
"Affects primary output only" can now be toggled directly in the routing dialog (via check in front of pan-effect);
This is directly activated when a track is routed on a surround bus
- Bugfixes:
Loudness Normalisation did not activate limiter - fixed;
Automation preview was not switchable in main menu in some cases - fixed;
Monitoring section: problems with PFL monitoring of mono tracks - fixed;
Video Export: redundant file query for temporary audio files removed;
Track delay: after the loading of projects, calculation was carried out with wrong values - fixed;
Crash during addition of multiple tracks under certain circumstances - fixed;
Effect plug-ins could not be removed from midi tracks - fixed;
Performance: for some drivers, ASIO priority boost caused opposite behaviour - fixed;

No. This is an update on 15, not and upgrade to 16.

There are some functional modifications, few bug corrections and so on.
Edna_Uebel has posted a "Change Log" in this thread.

I have installed the upgrade and it is working fine. Doesn't seem to have broken anything.

As for Sequoia 16, we have to wait with fingers crossed.
