East West Symphonic Orchestra Strings Platinum v1.0.9-DECiBEL screenshot
Team DECiBEL | 31 Jan 2022 | 47.40GB
STRINGS
Strings - Expressive, buttery and incredibly smooth, the strings shine when you need to capture delicacy and inner strength. They're more than potent enough when you need to add some heat to your productions, but they're at their best when they have room to breathe and you gently ride the expression (CC11).

MULTI-AWARD-WINNING COLLECTION OF ORCHESTRAL FAVORITES
Recorded by 11-time Grammy nominated classical recording engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson, the EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA was honored with Sound On Sound's Reader's Choice Award an unprecedented 3-times, and the very first orchestral collection to be recorded in a "state of the art" concert hall where orchestras mainly perform. Every detail of the recording hall is captured with incredible precision and detail, adding realism and shimmer to every note. You can create convincing orchestral performances with very little time and effort, and the natural ambience will make it feel as though the instruments are playing back live.

- The best-selling and most awarded orchestral collection ever created
- Created by award-winning sounds producers Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix and recorded by Grammy-nominated classical recording engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson
- Intelligent Performance section including Portamento, Repetition, Legato, and Round Robin Reset
- Intelligent release trail engine that automatically follows the volume of note-on velocities
- All instruments sampled with close, stage, and surround mics

COMPLETE CONTROL OVER YOUR ORCHESTRA
To achieve the feel of a live concert hall performance, each instrument and section was recorded with three mic positions: close, stage (conductor's position) and hall. By selecting different mic positions, you can mix these sounds together to create virtually any placement or level of depth desired. This all but eliminates the need for artificial reverb, drastically cutting down on the amount of time you spend getting your ambience settings just right. Every major adjustable feature can be controlled from a single interface, including reverb, mic positions, filtering, and section volume. If you're looking for warmth and the ability to easily manipulate nearly any aspect of the instruments' performances to your heart's content, Symphonic Orchestra gives you every tool you need in one place.

String Instruments Include:
- 18 Violins
- 11 Violins
- 10 Violas
- 10 Cellos
- 9 Double Basses
- 4 Violins
- 3 Cellos
- Solo Violin
- Solo Viola
- Solo Cello
- Solo Contrabass
- Harp
- Harpsichord
- Large String Ensembles

You need R2R PLAY/OPUS release to use this library (as a witch has said...)

THats the older version, which we already have a Kontakt version? True?

But here as PLAY Edition and possibly updated?

Thanks DECiBELLE.
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

Indeed, this is the same older orchestral library that was "released" on Kontakt. Of course, it was never really optimized or meant to work as a Kontakt library, so the results were less than perfect.

I think it was EWQLSO PRO XP Gold
The EWQL on kontakt, it was boring (for me) because it required a setup for each lib, then keygen to use ( which I lost many times coz antivirus deleted them lol)

Yep, it's the good old EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Platinum,
but I guess apparently without the PRO XP update.

I don't know if this Play version is any different,
or has been updated/improved beyond the baseline Kontakt version..

That would be interesting to know,
also the possible differences in features/usability between the Play and Kontakt versions..

FWIW tho, on the Russian place there's a version of the Kontakt Platinum + PRO XP,
which is fully integrated/compressed in one package.

No need to install the XPs separately, use Keygens or anything like that, (afaik)
so that's very convenient, it seems they did a good job with it.

But also bigger(it takes very to load them on a SATA SSD - you need M.2 SSD to have it loading super quick) and the question is do you really need it?

You're thinking of the Hollywood Orchestra. For the Symphonic Orchestra, there's Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus (which is the same thing + the 16bit depth patches as well as the 24-bit ones). These are as good as it gets for the SO

I assume that this number 1 is of the Orchestra

What do you say Guyz?

Even though this is a very old orchestral library that isn't quite as "realistic" as the most recent offerings from Spitfire, it's perfectly viable and fantastic for certain genres of music, especially for scoring or theater productions. There are still modern shows and cartoons with EQWL Symphonic Orchestra in the background. There are also some unique articulations that are cool. It's old, but I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand.

All that's left is the rest of the Symphonic Orchestra, the Quantum Leap Pianos, and the Hollywood Orchestra + Opus Player and Orchestrator.

This may be old but still sounds very good.Take this library and layer with some of the newer libraries and a very rich thick sound can be achieved.

I'm sure I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this...
And not to sound ungrateful as I appreciate the work of Decibel and R2R but...

Am I the only one who thinks the way they (r2r) are trickling these out is ridiculous?

It's all good. I do think the whole "BIG GAME" thing turned out to not be the best idea.

If you need them in a hurry (for paid work) just buy it, otherwise be patient.

For us waiting sucks, but try to see it from the releasers point of view for a moment:

• Uploading these huge amounts of data takes time.

• They have more time to test things, read feedback and avoid repacks this way.

• People will always want more, so there is not real reason for them to rush.

It's a shame people can't think for themselves and must all be sheep who regurgitate the same concepts...

The only part of your argument that holds merit here is the uploading these large libraries takes time part, I'll give you that. But they are clearly purposely stretching this out to keep the hype train alive... We're mostly talking about libraries here, its not like its different vsts. The only actual softwares here are play and opus. The rest is just libraries. They could have released the main thing most of us are interested in first but they released all those terrible 20 year old libraries which are useless for the majority of the community for what They want you all downloading something you're just gonna delete in a few days because we all know it's trash but it's something new.... If it was truly about the community then they would have released this shit in the opposite order is all I'm saying smh

I could go on and on listing the libraries and plugins I actually own which 99% of you would never actually pay for but that would just come off as bragging soooo think what you want about the "for paid use" section. Some of you can't even afford/see the value in paying for premium downloads lol

BUT that brings up another taboo point.... How do all of you have the same idea of "don't make money making music with warez" concept engrained in your brains but on the flip side it's ok that the uploaders and crackers make money on the releases SMH. How can nobody see the hypocrisy in that LMAO It's all stealing... I digress, that is a tangent for another day...

You have zero self-awareness.

You start off by saying "not to sound ungrateful..." then you double-down by continuing on with this tirade.

Meanwhile, even clicking the "thanks" or "+" button is too much for you?

Unless you supplied those East West libraries to the scene, you have no say in how they should release them. To me, it makes total sense to save the biggest/best libraries for last.

Lastly, you've mentioned twice now that you actually own libraries and plugins. Despite the nature of this site, there are a surprising amount of people here who own legit DAWs, plugins and libraries. One of the many libraries I personally own is the Hollywood Opus Diamond library you're waiting for - and regardless that still doesn't entitle us to anything from these private groups.

Jug: The only thing that is ridiculous is your comment and your sense of entitlement. We are lucky that any release group puts in the time, effort and expense of doing what they do. We ALL should be grateful and thanking everyone from the crackers, to the distro's to the uploaders, sharers and site op's/owners.

LMAO ok now that you've got your ratings up new guy... I don't feel entitled to anything, I'm probably one of the few people around here who's actually willing to pay for the things he wants, although I generally enjoy the "extended" trial first. I respect and appreciate everyone involved but that doesn't mean they are infallible and exempt from any criticism whatsoever. And on the subject of respect this "big game" and the ensuing slow burn on the East West stuff is asinine. It doesn't respect the people in the community and their time SMH.

The Pianos are not that great. I own them original and I never used them in any project, always some of my Kontakt pianos was better.

BOSENDORFER 290 is nice. Other EWQL pianos are just soso.
VSL synchron pianos are excellent, but they are also extremely expensive.
