One GUI XML file missing, temporary FIX :

YOU MUST HAVE NEWEST ANALOG LAB INSTALLED

1. COPY the "distocontainer.xml" file at:

 C:\Program Data\Arturia\Analog Lab V\resources\Pigments\resources\gui_xml\fx


OR download this : Link

2. PASTE it to:
C:\Program Data\Arturia\Pigments\resources\gui_xml\fx


The installation missing the GUI container for the new distortion modules for Pigments 3.5. Analog Labs has the same file, copy it to Pigments.

If it is too complicated just wait for new Rev. 2 release. Cheers.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: It doesn't include the newest Pigments 3.5 Factory Soundbank that has all the presets that use the newest Pigments 3.5 features (cross-mod, distortion, comb-filter). Even the separate soundbank installation didn't includes it. Hopefully V.R will add it for the upcoming rev2 fix.

Definitely. It's a great synth actually... their analog emulations on the other hand is not so great

Arturias way of handling the resources for their software is horrible. Everytime you install or uninstall a Arturia plug-in it has copy or remove thousands of .png and .xml files. I don't understand why they can't store everything in .zip/.dat/.bin or whatever type of archive type everyone else uses.

So, Imma be honest, I heard about the update and decided to test it, now I never used it before, first thing I noticed was that that shit is heavy af (kinda let down) but then I listened to how it sounded and holy crap I thought I was imagining things so I set up that HOFA blind test plugin and tested it against Phase Plant, Serum and Vital, same midi track, same volume, parameters and everything (tested the osc and wavetables), ran the test 4 times, everytime Pigments stood first place. The sound quality is noticeably amazing, no bs, for real, im impressed but I won't be buying cuz this thing manages to be twices as heavy as vital.

Some plugins use a lot of graphic resources ... sometimes you have to have the latest version of:

Visual C ++ 2019 Redistributable
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe


And sometimes you also have to have the latest drivers installed for your graphics card or integrated graphics.
