I suspected as much. I've had big problems with V.R's iZotope releases in the past, so I guess my machine is one of them.

It doesn't seem like the update from 8 to 9 was much of a update tbh :S It seems like Logic users will benefit from this update the most, but as Reaper (and Cubase?) already have buit-in spectrographic editors it doesn't really matter.

I didn't have any issues with the load times in 8 but the processing time was taking forever. I'm not sure if that was an issue with version 8 or not (i think i'm using an R2R release) BUT,either way this version is SUPER fast. Thanks alot for the release. And all the other spectacular releases.
Peace.

I have not installed yet, but i extracted the package and it seems to have all the normal items.

I do NOT HAVE a RX8 Audio Editor plugin.
I DO HAVE all the RX8 individual plugins.

I think you are mistaken when you say "RX8 Audio Editor" has an "editor vst".
What is name of the RX8 "editor vst"?

Right - Ozone has a stand-alone and also the plugin, but RX9 has no editor plugin.
You CAN usually set it as an audio editor in your DAW settings though - and it works very well doing that with FL Studio.

Guys, I'm a legit user of RX Advanced and this R2R version is exactly identical to the legit one. So kindly stop posting comments with no idea what software you are talking about. Also because some previous comments are objectively embarrassing.
Awesome work R2R, another gem, thank you so much!

First of all, thanks a lot to R2R!
Actually, to me there seems nothing new of interest in v.9, but that's of course an individual statement.

Just wanted to post a question here, in case someone already installed RX9 and likes to comment on my assumption.
Which is the following one: As iZotope over many years and many RX versions up to v.8 have never been able to make the preview function of the SpectralEditing work properly, I assume that this flaw is still present in v.9, too.
The flaw consists in the pre-roll for the preview being completely ignored; whatever pre-roll time figure you set in the software options, the spectral editing preview plays from the beginning of the selection, i.e. with pre-roll = 0.
Many years ago, I drew iZotope's attention to this flaw (I think it was in RX2 at that time) and they commented back to forward this to the developers, but seemingly those haven't been able to fix that during all the years up to v.8.

If v.9 would fix it, this could be a reason for me to install it, otherwise v.8 will remain here.
Anyone to confirm my mentioned assumption of v.9 still exhibiting the malfunction of the preview pre-roll in SpectralEditing ??

Many thanks!

I tried several Modules in the standalone version with different pre-roll times, worked.

Thank you for your reply, No Avenger.
Well, I know pre-roll works on several modules, but it didn't in SpectralEdit up to v.8.
Did you try SpectralEdit preview pre-roll in the new v.9 ?

Thanks again

I noticed so far having used a term being not quite correct or possibly ambiguous: "SpectralEdit(ing)".

What I actually mean and refer to, is the module "SpectralRepair", where via the "Compare" button you get a window where the processing --and possible different processing settings-- can be compared to the original audio. And there, the "preview" is located, which does ignore any pre-roll functionality.

Just to be precise.
Thank you...

Yep, found what you meant. I think since this has the extra little window with 'Original audio' and 'Spectral Repair:...' it's not a bug but a feature.
Seriously, you can switch in realtime between these two and therefore the pre-roll isn't really necessary, IMHO.
Additionally, you can still set the cursor left of the loop - but it doesn't return to that position, that's right.

Works fine here win 7, and also using it as audio editor in ableton. On my setup it even works faster than v8

RX9.0.1 Does not load scanning VST..even selecting the path folder of all other vsts - 64bit ,does not load, and does not open or read external vst plugins.

In FL Studio 20 I had to remove my previous version, R2R's RX8, for it to install correctly. It would not install properly over the previous version. The modules installed but the standalone audio editor did not. I uninstalled RX8 using Revo Uninstaller and it then working smoothly. Thx R2R and Funtime!

It should not install OVER anything. It is separate, all the plugins named RX9, different install folder, etc.

You can usually have multiple versions of RX on a system with no problem, and that is what I did with previous versions. I did not do that THIS time. I installed RX9 and used it , but then removed RX8 ( did not use it after installing RX9), so I can not confirm it for the RX8 & RX9.

For projects that use RX plugins it is important that different versions are able to reside in plugin repositories.
