i could be wrong poly, but i get the impression that if they're not part of these large setup installers you can't get presets working just by adding the preset files to the relevent folder within arturia in windows/OSX explorer...they have to be imported bank by bank or unlocked separately somehow to be able to use them

I was going to give up, as I have said this about 10 times already over 3 Arturia Posts. I try to help but people either dont listen or dont do the research themselves into what great things both V.R & R2R (which I love by the way) are giving us. Its like them giving us a Ferrari and we thank them for the bicycle but someone else also gave us a bicycle and I prefer their color and make.

I dont care whether you install V.R or R2R, they both make great stuff and I love them both. Some releases by one are better than the other and visa versa.
When is comes to Toontrack and these Arturia, I prefer V.R.
The fact for this is that this release contains ALL The Expansion Packs (these 2 in this version were just released last week, up until then we had them ALL in V.R releases until these 2 now they have these to 2, so we again have them all. These 2 packs together are more than $30 and contain 128 Presets.
But thats not the point :)

Thats not true - It contains 1000s of Preset for ALL the instrument (but mostly Pigments)
I just looked at the website to get my facts correct and was even surprised myself.
This contains (as counted on the website) more than 200 Preset packs containing approx 60 presets each (each different preset pack from music by Micheal Jackson, Prince, Lady Ga Ga, Daft Punk, Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Genasis, etc, etc).
So more than 200 packs at about $15, containing about 60 presets each, so you do the maths, (I make it over 12,000 presets extra, not to mention the ones contained in the R2R basic release and not to mention the cost saved, I paid a few $100 dollars myself try to collect 20 or more, this has more than 200) My
current preset count on Analog Lab is nearly 26,000 and Im happy with that :)

So the recap, this V.R release is an update of their last release (so contains 2 more packs) which was an update of their previous release (which had all the newest preset packs) that was an update of their previous, previous release (which had all the previous preset packs).
So with this release you have ALL the 200+ Preset Packs on sale by Arturia. plus some sold by other companies (I dont know who bought them all, but I bought some)
With the R2R release, you get the basic preset packs which is still a lot, 1000+ but you dont get ALL the Paid For Preset Pack (you will get a few of the older ones, as me and my friend bought and shared a lot of packs a couple of years ago on Audioz and so did other but definitely NOT 200+ Packs :)
Ok, explained, helped enough, time for food.
I really dont care if you install R2R or V.R, as I LOOOOVE THEM BOTH EQUALLY :)
But my fear is that if a group releases the same program as another group but one group adds more than $3000 worth of extra preset packs to theirs and people start saying actually we prefer the one that has got the extra presets than that group is going to say, ok well, lets not add the presets, then people like me who love a Prince or Beatles or someone elses pack will have to buy them themselves and I dont have $3000 to buy them all (and they are not freely available on the net yet).

It depends on whether you want more than 1000 extra presets or not.
This one has all the expansion pack the R2R one is an original install.

Few months ago they put all Arturia presets to download here, I have them. I wonder if this version has new presets or is the same set.

Very much new - in fact ALL - go to the Arturia site and looks at all the presets and all are included here, they release about 6 Packs a month, so there is obviously more than the posted here many, many months ago :)

Had the same problem. Solved it by using Synth V-Collection Team V.R with Arturia Pigments v2.0.0-R2R. Works like a charm.
In addition this combination allows to use the Jup-8 V3 3.3.1.1782 RePack by VR.

Can someone please share the presets only? They're unlocked (some lines were simply deleted with a text editor) so they must work with R2R release.

Seconding this.

Also curious if anyone who's installed this version noticed a speed improvement over the last VR release? R2R's latest seems to open so much faster than the last VR, I'm wondering if it's actually directly because of the extra banks/presets? or some other factor, would love to do a side by side comparison before and after, R2R vs VR then R2R w/ extra presets vs VR.

All the Arturia bought packs need to be INSTALLED, so you would need 200+ installers
This V.R version installs them.
We have tried in the past to add each others presets (buying and sharing but you need the installers and then to authorize them. Arturia's preset packs are not simply importing 200+ packs 1 by 1 (which would be bad enough) but they need both installed and authorized.
Do we have the 200 installers? - No
Does the R2R version Authorise them? - I dont know
Im using V,R for this program (but use R2R for many others)

I've personally extracted the presets from a legit installer and unlocked them one by one with a text editor following the scheme used with those from a previously unlocked pack. I then placed those presets manually in the corresponding directory and do the fix:

"FIx was install all the presets, find the db.* files in the ProgramData\Arturia\Presets folder and delete them. Then load up Analog Lab and it'll rebuild the db files... then the packs will show when it finishes rebuilding."

It works without problem.
