Steinberg today announced the immediate availability of Absolute 5, a collection of standalone or plug-in instruments for VST, AU, and AAX hosts.

Absolute 5 is a celebration of the best synthesizers and workstations that Steinberg has to offer. Spanning more than 130 GB of sound content and over 7,500 presets, Absolute 5 features 28 VST and HALion instruments.

Now in Absolute 5, the drum re-synthesizer Backbone layers, re-synthesizes and decomposes samples into noise and tonal parts. Also new to Absolute are the vintage keys of Amped Elektra, Electric Bass and the expansions Polarities for Padshop 2, Sounds of Soul for Retrologue 2 and Future Past Perfect for Groove Agent 5.

Also included in Absolute 5 are the instruments from the previous iteration. With HALion 6, Absolute includes a powerful sampling and sound creation instrument. At its side stand HALion Sonic 3, Groove Agent 5, The Grand 3, the Padshop 2 granular and spectral synthesizer as well as the classic virtual analog synthesizer, Retrologue 2. And the list goes on: Prime Cuts and Rock Essentials Style expansion sets for Groove Agent, Granular Guitars for Padshop, Dark Planet, Hypnotic Dance and Triebwerk add to the considerable arsenal of sounds.

Thats right, it have exactly same last Soft-eLicenser local license generator b23.exe. There is new products not working with b23, probably V.R will release b24 or something later.

Just FYI I had isssues with VR b23 and latest eLicenser (it was not seeing any licenses). I reverted to eLicenser 6.12.7.1287 and now they work fine.

Thanks to V.R. for this releases but i have One question for him (Team V.R) .
Why is with last few versions of installers again installing file "audcon.sys" when there is no need for that file to have to generate and to use licenses?
Does anyone know for what that files is?
With AntiTrial FAKE eLicenser it had a purpose, but with this one have not!
And why is he temporally modifying eLCC file while installing elicenses?
there is no need for that either.

It works fine for me, MacBook Pro running Catalina.
There's a small error in the product downloads text, but other than that, it all worked fine. Removing the ", from the end of the line:

https://download.steinberg.net/automated_updates/sda_downloads/e4532c20-c95d-49a0-8243-bcaa878a3e1f/ADD_SMT_818_Fractals.vstsound",

allows that product to be downloaded as well.

EDIT: I just tried both the standard and the alternate methods on my M1 Mini running Big Sur, and I get the same failures others are reporting - elicenser Control Error -Application "Application Synsopos.app could not be started.

OK so I guess i not the only one who is on M1 and having these issues. I wonder if an eventual work around will come from this for those of us who arent on intel anymore

Unfortunately, I can confirm that executing "Soft-eLicenser local license generator b23.pkg" leads to an "installation failed" error and corrupts the elicenser control software which is unable to work properly and find licenses anymore. I had this problem with previous releases as well. macOS Big Sur Intel here. Generating the license file on Windows and the importing and repairing it works, same with the provided license file...While I am grateful that it works with this workaround, I still feel uncomfortable to contact Steinberg's servers for license repair...

YES and NO! You can have this running along with legit licenses on USB dongle, but beware eLCC is calling home, steinberg.net and elicenser.net on every launch and sends info about licenses present on the system.... So YES it can work together, but at some point you can get "caught" and disabled, because of using cracked licenses.
Unlike Team AiR keygen which was made in 2011. this licenses have not legit activation codes, so for that matter, this is the very best BAD crack ever, because it bypass activation but you get a full license... It is a bit risky if you ask me... Because there is a certain reason why is Team V.R again installing on the system file i was mentioned above, to prevent and block home calling, but idk why that is not described by Team V.R.... He should aware other users who can risk a lot!

Until recent you could transfer this licenses on dongle, but all licenses are busted by Steinberg, and now once you try to do that, you got immediately disabled dongle for further use,

What exactly they disable? Legit USB eLicenser licenses? Or just the software ones? (I only have Cubase license, I want to know huw big the risk is...)

I happened to have legit elements license, but the old one, which i dont care much.
USB itself got disabled, and if you wonder how well check this.
Licenses are still present on USB and I still can use all of them, but I can't store \ transfer new licenses and even legit DEMO ones I can't get them downloaded...
I have 2 USB like that disabled, and the last one was with the Absolute 5 license transfer.

So, what i am talking about is about transferring non legit V.R licenses on USB, but that doesn't matter, because like i told earlier in some threads, install some third party firewall and track by yourself, so you can see what eLicenser is calling every time you launch it or at software launch.
So in that way, they send all licenses info on their server, legit and non legit, and if they want, they can disable USB just in a second.
License will be probably there, but you cannot upgrade etc. and you get blacklisted... I assume....
I dot know exactly what is happening , but i see that Team V.R has changed way of license installation in couple of past releases and team V.R is now forcing and installing that "audcon.sys" file.... probably to prevent home calling, that has been done same by Team H2O.

So, in reality licenses are working as they should do, but for how long, i don't know...
That will depend on eLD, which will be for sure changed with new Cubase 12 etc...
They have done that eLD trick change when H2O got them with Cubase SX and Nuendo 3.

ADVICE TO LEGIT USERS WITH DONGLE, for the time being ,JUST GO OFLINE while have and using cracked licenses along with the legit ones, and only in that way you will be a 100% safe!

Yes!
I have all the samples and software downloaded, about 460gigs , with download assistant.
Just use Steinberg download assistant, it is the easiest way, or get yourself a IDM , google it, then copy and paste all the links it should go automatically.

IDM - Internet Download Manager or JDownloader, but beware, JD have adware in default installation ....

I have both of those download managers and they both give problems. I have to go line by line. I suppose I will be somwhere over 52 years of age before I am done copy and pasting.

it complained in Jdownloader, but you just copy the batch of lines, and Ctrl+L (add new links) and it will show all of the links. then, a popup will appear and say something about needing to examine the links a bit more, so you say ok and then they show up in the downloader correctly. It just needs to parse the links since they're weird with that longer extension.

I'm currently using FDM (Free Download Manager).
Been really impressed, no adware, etc.
Features like Scheduling, Paste multiple links and group to custom folders (see pic for GA5 content from a paste of that block of links), Throttling.
Works great with Chrome extension with a small native client to send links from.
