It's aimed at post production use. In other words it's for people working on sound mixing for movies/TV shows and not bedroom musicians.

Depends what kind of special algo are packed there and at which market it is aimed. FOr bigger studios 599$ is cheap i guess.

The low/high pass filters used here are by far one of the worst i have ever heard, and that is not an exaggeration...

Yes, it may be cheap for big post-prod studios, but it's very expensive when these big boys are already fully equipped, as it's generally the case.
Who on earth watchin a movie at theater will be able to differentiate a reverb generated by this plugin rather than by, let's say... Liquidsonics or Altiverb ? Nobody I guess.
And even if a handful of extraterrestrial creatures wins the challenge, what impact will it have on the movie's receipts... or even an Oscar?
Not so much...

the answer is that its a true surround Reverb and nor of the offered reverbs are algo based, the ones we have mentioned here are all convolution reverbs.

Surround Sound plus Algo reverb = 500 bucks.
There nobody on the marking offering that, so you can charge as much as you want.

...But honestly, testing this release, I don't feel any overwhelming, disturbing, moving difference with 99% other great convolution reverbs on the market (and I don't talk about freeware here...)...

Like others here, found the price a little bit too much of exaggerated, if I may....

It opens fine for me in s1 v5.3 but if I try and change a preset it crashes everytime.Ive tried from the top and from going inside the preset browser both have the same issue.

I thought I would try again. When I try and open the first preset it takes a while and looks like it will hang, but then it loads ok. After that, it scans through presets with no issues. It definitely looked like it was going to hang though. Glad I didn't pay $600 for it.

I'm having the same issue tried both ways you can change presets and it crashes everytime all the other plugins work good so not sure whats going on with this one

Studio one 4 Windows 7 also crashes when changing presets, the last release is stable.
I just drink and listen to music.

Good news: if you open vst3 file inside blue cat patchwork plugin then no crash occurs when changing presets!
