haha, wow this brings me back, a long time ago I bought Little Clipper by Boz Digital, it was one of the first plugins I ever got, and it wouldn't work on my PC, I contacted Boz Digital and told them and their answer was pretty much just "Okay" and they refused to refund

Their plugins work on everything, so if it wasn't working (I'm unsure what that means, exactly. Read-issue? Output issue? Also: System/OS/DAW?) I'm going to hazard a guess and say it was a user error...or maybe you were trying to use two different registry entries for your Boz plugins? No static, I've just never heard of anyone having issues with legit Boz tools.

If you don't use the default path installation folder the official installer asks for an installation path and you can choose what you want, as always, the installer patch doesn't ask, it sees the right path automatically but in my case it creates a "Transgressor 2" folder, so you end up with two dlls, one inside BOZ Digital Labs folder and the patched one inside a subfolder inside that folder, check if you end up with two dlls, if so replace the original with the patched one after installation or your DAW will scan for two instances of the same vst2 plugin and probably lead to some issues, the patch works btw, plugin is fine, no problem for path with vst3 which has only one path by default and no additional folder is created from the patch installer.

Same here. The vst2 plugin is installed in c/ programfiles/vstplugin. And because Reason does not support VST3, I Install vst2 on a second NVME. Maybe a simple dll patched would be the solution.

This doesn't affect the plugin itself anyway, it works if you replace it by yourself, i even removed the folder, i just wrote that 'cause if someone doesn't see that you will probably end up with two separate dlls, the DAW will scan both and probably could lead to some issues, so yes as you say a simple patched dll and vst3 files would solve this, i still have to test the other releases of BOZ digital to see if they have the same issue :)

What will happen to other boz plugins which have been registered with previous one/same user name? Usually if register with another name, other old plugins become unregistered. Won't this patch unregister other old r2r boz plugins?

Nope, patch only replaces the given plugin, doesn`t do anything to the other plugins.

On measuring tests on default threshold with transient gain of 1.1 dB shows very high total distortion of 1.111%, and with 2.4 dB even 1.642%.
Has a very good IR, but any filtering degrades it quickly (as one should expect).
Also on default threshold starts to stutter very soon with transient gain increase.
I did a listening comparison with Voxengo Transgainer, and Voxengo is, in my opinion, convincingly better in every respect (detail, precision, clarity, less coloration).

great information. my ears also have this feeling. But the ability to control sound transients at several different frequencies makes transgressor quite versatile, with brilliant results .. another life in my snares.. 200-300 for the "body",almost flat between 500-2k and some tweak at the snap area 3.5k-7k

The plugin shows up in the plugin list, but when inserting it nothing happens

Found a solution: I registered another Boz plugin released by R2R with R2R's keygen, and now this Transgressor 2 works.

I expected a transexual compressor
Amazing plugin, maybe the best transient shaper out there.
I was using the one from KiloHearts that is really simple and good,
but this one has many more capabilities.
