(Ni stuff seems to appear fast)
and they always ensure that their new releases only work on the newest release and I check on the site and that one needs 6.5.2 (which is a pity as I have only just installed 6.5.1 and I like to keep my updates to minimum, so will see if that appears before updating, as 6.5.1 seems to work very well :)

Only works in standalone app mode.

Vsts dll can´t not be loaded and doesn´t wants to run...

In the other way the x86 standalone and vst dll are 6.5.1 not 6.5.2...

Error message when I try to load kontakt.

Kontakt could not be loaded!

Failed to load "C:\Native Instruments Kontakt Portable\Kontak\x64\ktp651.dll"

Error 126: The Specified module could not be found


ktp651.dll is not there but ktp652.dll is in that folder. This is a fresh install of portable.

(I was running nearly duplicate Kontakt directories and simply verified the last version)

I will extract and compare, but as I_Am_Nobody says below it may be best to use 6.51 for the moment.

I know. I never have problems with the portable versions. This is the first time this has happened to me :(

Rescanned the plugins a few times. It keeps looking to ktp651.dll instead of kpt652.dll. I'm just going to copy the 652 and rename to 651 for now.

Update:

Copied 652 to 651. No longer get that message. Now get:

Kontakt could not be loaded!

Failed to load "C:\Native Instruments Kontakt Portable\Kontak\x64\Kontakt.vstplugin"

Error 126: The Specified module could not be found

And Kontakt.vstplugin is in that folder.

I'll go back to 6.51 for now. I can wait until the next portable comes out :)

Notes:
Because i just copied into existing directory, I DID have the:
"C:\Native Instruments Kontakt Portable\Kontak\x64\ktp651.dll"
so I got no error about that.

I DID get the :
Failed to load "C:\Native Instruments Kontakt Portable\Kontak\x64\Kontakt.vstplugin"
Error 126: The Specified module could not be found

I copied in the old "Kontakt.vstplugin" from 6.5.1 and Kontakt runs, but it's Kontakt 6.5.1 running.
It seems the "Kontakt.vstplugin" file itself may be the problem.

I notice when uninstalling it says the version is 6.5.1... not 6.5.2 as this is supposed to be.

It's a portable though, it doesn't write to the registry and all files are contained in the program's location. Weird that now it wouldn't work if he deleted everything and then tried to revert to an older version. Had it been an installed version then I'd have suggested an uninstall with Revo Uninstaller Pro but since it's portable, I don't see why that would help.

I guess I'd suggest making a post on AudioSex if you're finding it difficult getting it to work and want someone else's perspective on the situation. That is if you don't get any help here.

I got it working, thanks anyway. I think the version I tried to revert to was fake 6.5.1 so that's why it didn't work Downloaded the portable 6.5.1 from here and it works now perfectly.

I don't get the database working properly. Actually, it always gets stucked when I add any new library; I tried even with just a single one: I added it with the library manager, saved, closed it and opened Kontakt, and the wheel in the database just spins, doing nothing. This is when I uncheck the "automatically add loaded/saved files to database" option. When I check it and try again, I open Kontakt and it's just frozen...any help?
Btw, this happens with every 6.5.x release, no problems at all with 6.4.x

That's really weird. You should come over to AudioSex and open a thread, get some more eyes on your issue. See if anyone else is having that problem or maybe even how they solved it.
