Note:
If you have previously installed the 2.2.0, just uninstall and install this one, apply the patch (replace the vsti and vst3i files) and when you run it, the old license will still be there.

Just to note.. I actually had 2.2.0, and just installed over top. No problems at all (that I've seen, anyways), and yeah.. license stayed. Doesn't appear that you need to uninstall, as far as I can tell.

I haven't had it crash just yet. But I haven't had a good chance to really test it yet, either. That crash was on 2.2 was very very common for me though.

I'll post back here after testing it some more, or you can PM me on the AudioSex forum (same username there). Like i said though, on older versions, you can also turn off audio detection and the crash won't happen too.


EDIT: Pretty sure the major crashing bug is fixed.

This has the AAX, each plugin is a couple of Meg larger, maybe some extra sounds, etc. It is not much bigger than it was.
R2R v2.1.0 from 2020.09.16 = 683 Mb zipped
P2P v2.2.0Fixed from 2020.12.20 = 793 Mb zipped

This one without the aax = 809 Mb

I had the same question. Most of the size of this plugin especially since v2 is the included mini-library of samples in FLAC format.
Don't know the details of this version but that's the "usual suspect".

Correct path for vst2 for me is C:\Program Files>Steinberg>VSTPlugins
not C:\Program Files\Vstplugins\Plugin Boutique as stated in instructions.

Also didn't have to register license having the pervious version.

The VST2 path can really be anywhere on your system, as long as DAW knows to look for VSTs there. I think the one you stated tends to be the default location though.

Installed over Scaler.2.v2.0.9.Incl.Patched.and.Keygen-R2R, not uninstall, not ask for new license and work well.

for those asking for detailed installation , Fix :-

Installation:-

1: Go to Folder (Setup) Install (Scaler_2.3.0_Windows.exe)

then Go to (Patch) Folder ,replace with the pre-patched files in these 3 paths:-

x64 Vsti (Scaler2.dll & ScalerAudio2.dll)
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins

x64 VST3 (Scaler2.vst3 & ScalerAudio2.vst3)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

x64 aax (Scaler2.aaxplugin & ScalerAudio2.aaxplugin)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\Scaler2.aaxplugin\Contents\x64
&
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\ScalerAudio2.aaxplugin\Contents\x64


2: start-up plugin in DAW


Activation :-
------------

1: Open Scaler 2 ---> press on (Registration) ---> choose (register a license file) & load the license file (scaler2.license)
2: use email : [email protected]

or

Go to (License & Email) folder ---> (Scaler2) folder
Copy these 3 files (Scaler2.data & scaler2.license & Scaler2.settings) to this path :-
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Plugin Boutique\Scaler2

i cant register the email somehow, i tried to replace it with the scaler 2 folder instead like in the description but he still want me to activate the license and i always get an error with the email. anyone can help?
