Check your antivirus. It could be blocking the creation of temp file for the installer. Mine was.

Got the same message here in Windows 10 64. It will install if you DON'T select VST2 64bit. Bummer, but the VST3 64 will install. I have not tested the resulting install.

Guys please relax. There might be issues here or there when teams release not 100% perfect products. But they do what 99.9999% here donΒ΄t do. They invest their time and lots of effort to bring us ultra state-of-the-art software. Please just be thakful they exist. Even the original software has bugs very often. So just say thank you and be happy you have the possibility to "try for you buy" without paying anything.

My guess is atleast over 90% of all VR releases

And this aint a software bug
It is the installer VR make

I bet it beacuse VR like to do shitty things like have a folder icon on both Vst 2 and Vst 3 and also use his "own" idea of where a plugin shall be installed (common files????) instead of let ppl decide the install dir themself.

R2R did thge samew when they where rookies anbd called themself Peace out and even after they changed name to Assign they did som crappy installers but alteast it was better then the peace out version.
It wasnt until they became R2R they where at the same level as Air.
Air walked the same path at first their installers where crap but they became better after some years especially after H2O stopped release stuff

the installer is misconfigured... it's trying to create a directory called 'c:\programfiles\vstplugins\C:'... that is incorrect syntax.. waiting for rev2

It's not a lack of respect or a lack of appreciation for their good work...it's an encouragement for them to QA their releases...pretty novice stuff these days if you ask me. Also, what about our time?...installing, removing reinstalling, crapping out other releases.

that autotune installer also had the same issue saying "memory is not sufficient" or something like that, even though i have over 2GB RAM free (which is enough for a 100MB installer)
you'll never know.
