XO identifies and collects one-shot samples stored anywhere on your computer or hard drives and sorts them by similarity. It brings your samples of choice into a new creative context that facilitates experimentation.

You can use XO as stand-alone or with your favorite DAW along with other plugins. You load XO as an instrument into your DAW. XO is used preferably but not exclusively for beat making and rhythm production using, what you consider to be drum sounds.

Browsing and editing sound become a part of your creative processes instead of disrupting your workflow.

I know neither this one nor the similar Algonaut Atlas released today as well...any recommendations seeing they +- do the same thing?

I just notice this one is 4 times the size of Atlas!

I think you would be best to try out both. Atlas is simpler than XO, they basically do the same thing but XO has more tweakability if you need that. XO is bigger as more samples included to go along with your own. You will have a lot of fun playing with both. They have both been out long enough to be refined with many updates. XO usually takes longer to start up but hopefully this update improves that.

Hi, I placed Library ar C:\ drive, installed and registered the software but when try to run it in both Standalone and VST get the following error message:

Sorry! A serious error occurred. Please run the XLN Online Installer and install any available updates or repairs to the software. If the problem persists, please contact XLN Audio Support at xlnaudio.com/support
Error information:

C:\XO\App\XOBV0001\Resources.xpak\T_GUIBoot.lua Error found when calling "getTedResource": getTextResource() no such resource: XLN Online Installer/NOOVERRIDEapp Licenses/Licenses0I.txt


Apparently something was wrongly written into the Resources.xpak file (I guess "NOOVERRIDEapp" must be replaced with "XO" but I can´t find a way to edit the xpak file (even tried with Notepad++ but no possible).

If anyone knows the solution to this error, some help will be very appreciated.

Did you double click on "library placer" after you moved your library before installing the app? Another thing could be that you don't have fully acces on the library folder so you can get an error, from XLN Audio site: "Make sure that you have the Controlled Folder Access option in Windows Defender disabled.", forget about windows firewall, that is for the online installer, but you need full acces on the folder anyway, maybe that is the issue. I also found out that some guys have similar problems related with addictive keys, Sonar and the vstplugins folder, but you say you have the same error message with standalone so maybe your problem is different. http://forum.cakewalk.com/Getting-this-XLN-error-when-I-open-X1-or-Platinum-m3278507.aspx

Controlled Folder Access in Windows Defender was disabled. After uninstalling, cleaning registry and reinstalling paying attention to the R2R.txt instructions, the same error is showed when trying to open XO. This is the first time that a XLN release gives me problems.

---Solved ---

0.Uninstall previous versions.
1.Burn or mount the ISO.
Copy Library folder to local disk.
Run the *_Library_Placer.exe in the library folder.

I tried doing the same thing. I actually had it working a couple weeks ago but now I'm getting the above error. I tried to uninstall and install again but after many attempts, Im still getting a similar error

Anyone know why the standalone is working fine but the VST does not show up in Ableton?

Addictive drummer and keys works fine, libraries are placed ok everything works fine in standalone.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, manually replacing .dll, deleted everything and replaced

Standalone is awesome tho, Thanks R2R and ill be buying this SOMEday
