Thanks a lot Team RET & Decibelle!

Didn't heard about this company:
Only thing i know is that the name "VoostEQ Comp" kinda mess with my mind...!

There are no factory presets in this release.

Its a compressor preset want help as you need the original input audio that the factory preset used.
Its the same with EQ presets totally useless.

Technically, GuitarManiac64, you'd still be a step closer, with an advised Attack/Release, and could then just adjust the input/threshold. By and large, though, I agree with the fact that presets are kind of useless, but even getting a slight start in the right direction can be useful for people who are still in the early learning stages of compression and EQ. We all have to start somewhere.

I noticed you received an inadequate response to your concern from a member regardless if presets to a compressor are helpful or not. To get the presets simply download and install the demo from the OEM site, load that VST3 demo, note that presets you now see, unload and delete that VST3 file, load the RET version of the VST3, now you have the presets you seek all the time. Regards.

Yes there is. Just write for example vocal in factory preset search and click reset presets and they appear

Very nice surprise indeed. At $149 U.S. makes me want to stick to creating custom FX chains for now.

Help understand, they claim this comp is an advance emulation of analog gear, but sounds with unveliable transparency.
¿How is that possible?

I guess ,
color in tube mode ,
transparent in modern mode .
This comp offers a lot of options .

This is actually a fairly robust compressor with customizable colorization. I'm impressed and decided to drop the $89US for it. If one is a bit too lazy to read the manual (via clicking the top left in the plugin name) then at least view a video of features via YT from user "PlugMEin". It gives a great overview of the plugin in a visual context imho. There are many "hidden" features that are covered via the plugin manual but might be more easily digested. Cheers and regards.

The Team RET installer does not contain the VoosteQ installer, but just copies the already patched plugin file into the corresponding folder.
That's why you have to install the demo version first to get the factory presets installed.
After that you should use the RET installer and then, at last, delete everything that demo version installed that you don't need.

interesting approach. I really like it.
Reminds me of the concept of older plugins like the Magix analogue modeling suite. I love that kind of plugins.
Thanks

I suppose this happens with most plugins after the initial buzz and fizz.

I have only tested it on bass and drum buss and so far I like it! Punch knob is pretty useful on drums and it's light on cpu with oversampling engaged which is nice! Haven't found a use for the groove knob or glue magic yet.

The site specifies Win10. Does anyone know if RET has made it possible to use this with Win7, like they did with Melodyne?

Work ok in win 7 here. Also have vst2.

Win7 user: vst2, vst3 work perfectly.
Usually if they say software is not officially supported for Win7, it either works or not. In most cases, or 50/50...

I'm on Win7Ult.x64 in Studio One v4.6.1
I got around to trying this out, if only briefly, sooner than I had expected, and I can confirm that the VST2 and VST3 both work, no glitches or anything even when I switch quickly between setting and rapidly adjust parameters (sometimes I've found early version 1s of a plugin have shaky behaviour, usually only in certain DAWs or system, though.) I haven't put in enough time to tell if it will fit into my arsenal, but it seems capable enough.
I appreciate your input.

Win7 x64
REAPER 6.13
works perfect.
Oversampling does nothing to audio at all
