Slate Digital Verbsuite Classics FG-224/224XL Expansion 1.0.0.6.WiN/MAC screenshot
WiN/OSX | 432.93 MB/995.02 MB
The original 224 digital reverb is arguably one of the most legendary digital reverbs in history, gracing thousands of hit records mixed by some of the top engineers in the business. This new FG-224 and 224XL expansion pack for VerbSuite Classics features full Fusion Captures of both the original 224 and the even more acclaimed 224XL units, and it sounds absolutely incredible! These additional reverbs give VerbSuite Classics even more power and flexibility, and give you more creative tools to add width and depth in your mixes.

NOTICE: These expansions are compatiable both with legit Verbsuite Classics or K'ed release by AudioUTOPiA.
Tested in Windows 10 with the latest K'ed Verbsuite Classics which released in 2016 and the official release from Slate Digital, no key or license or ilok-related required.:)

For Mac OSX uesers: 'cause there is no true K'ed VSC exist, you have to check the official website and get a VSC or use VE Pro something.

You need VSC plugin to load expansions.

Thank you! Should I install 1.0.4 first or does this 1.0.6 include all expansions?

Thanks, I love this reverb, I have worked with the hardware 224xl for about 20 years in one of my longest studio gigs. Not only have you heard this verb on tons of records but also it is a huge verb for Movies. The hardware has 4 outputs and can duplicate almost any acoustic space.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

Invented / created by Dr David Griesinger PhD . Lexicon bought his invention and hired him to finalize it :=>

So the Lexicon 224 was presented in 1978 at the AES convention :
The 224 reverberation system had a console-top controller with a four-rackspace brain, two inputs, four outputs and interchangeable programs to simulate chambers, plates and rooms. The 224 was “affordable” – meaning $7,500 with two programs or $7,900 with four programs.

But at half the price of EMT’s 250, the 224 was a hit. Eventually, the 224 evolved into the improved 224X and 224XL, which included the LARC (Lexicon Alphanumeric Remote Control), offering fingertip access to programs and parameters, dedicated function keys and a 24-character LED.

The Lexicon 224 used a fixed point processor, with a 16-bit word size. It was designed in the late 1970s using the best technology available, which at the time was the 8080 microprocessor, 12-bit converters (using DAC80 DAC IC), input transformers, and bucket loads of 74S/LS-series logic.

Although the converters themselves are 12-bit, a clever scaling circuit gives an extra 24dB of headroom by actively shifting the input gain. This gives a 16-bit conversion range overall, though precision is still only 12-bit.

There is one for sale on Reverb for approx. 2500 €, to give you an idea.

Thousands of hit records due to a particular digital reverb (!?).
It really 'sounds absolutely incredible!'

Actually I think it's ok in Windows 7, just not tested. Give it a shot.

Yes, but I came to realize that these are just the IRs and presets. So unless you have the plugin you can't do nothing with these.
