QUAD was the first-ever Rack Extension synthesizer built from the ground up for Reason by the Rob Papen team and is now also available as VST/AU/AAX plugin.

The sonic palette is huge, through the vast modulation possibilities that QUAD has to offer. The sound sculpting tools start in each Oscillator and are the Phase Distortion and WaveShaper.
These tools are brought to life by 2 XY-Pads in each Oscillator, which can be moved through an extensive modulation matrix.
QUAD’s Oscillators are complemented by two top-notch analog-modeled Filters, which have different routing options, an arpeggiator, and two high-quality effects processors.

I used to love Rob Papen stuff. I remember when I bought Blue v1 for $250 and 2 preset packs from his site, I also bought RG. Back then he had his official support forum on KVR, so when I got banned from KVR for unrelated reasons I couldn't get support anymore for my authorization issue (too many auths or something even though I only had one computer and I reinstalled windows from scratch a lot back then) my emails weren't responded to for a long time. Over the years I feel like most of his synths aren't as inspiring as he claims, for me the only plug he has that I like anymore is RAW. His synths sound like mp3 quality to me vs something like Dune, Serum, Spire, u-he etc. I don't program my own sounds I like presets because I prefer to create songs instead of creating synth presets, and his presets aren't even that great.

Nothing wrong with using presets... that's why they make them. I also always start with presets, but I do tweak them often, or use a preset for layering if that's just what it needs. I am also more into making songs, rather than endless tweaking of details and programming

Rob Papen discontinued the best soft synth ever from they development: Albino, and now make the same bad sound engine like predator 1 with different ugly skin...

Yeah I struggle as well with the difference between all these synths. I tried this, but did not hear a major difference or wow..... I am a big fan of RAW en RAW-Kick, I use those a lot. Those are definitely different than everything else on the market.
