Edit: It's in the View menu, not the GUI itself, damn you'd think they'd add it to the actual plugin itself, so now if you're using it in your DAW you have to open up the standalone version just to import Rex files, then refresh your DAW for them to show in the menu of the plugin.

wow. how far back does one have to go to find a version that includes the library? i think i found one from 2012. been a lot of updates since then. is this like omnisphere where you only have to install the most recent update?

As it is with every Spectrasonics products, if you have the library you just need the latest update for software and data. The latest data update for RMX is 1.7.1c.

I think the biggest point of this update is that you don't need the SAGE Converter anymore, you can now convert Rex Files from the Standalone Stylus RMX

Ok, i think i just discovered a new feature thats not mentioned, unless this flew over my head years ago?

Didn't the SAGE Converter have a maximum 61 rex files per folder that it could convert? If so converting with the RMX application now bypasses that because i'm currently converting folders with 80-90 files successfully with no warnings and no crashes

Edit: Ok, i've been playing around a bit more, and although it does succesfully convert folders with more than 61 rex files, they tend to take longer to load, and aren't an immediate play, which .... aint gonna cut it , so i still suggest making 2, 3, 4 or whatever folders out of any given folder that may contain more than 61 files.

example: SCT4_Drum_Loops folder contains 120 rex loops, so make another folder called SCT4_Lo_Fi_Drum_Loops 2 and throw half of the loops in there, then convert.

you'll have to download the last full version that includes the library. the most recent one that i could find here is https://audioz.download/software/win/39525-download_spectrasonics-stylus-rmx-196e-x86-x64-old.html

after installing that, you need to find the latest data update and install that. as the pirate said above, "The latest data update for RMX is 1.7.1c".

finally, you can install this latest software update.

Thanks for the update, but after updating this I still see the version mark 1.9.8.c when I click the diskette image button on the down-right corner.
Is it maybe because I didn't apply some(or all) of the previous updates sequentially?
If so, anyone knows which update is needed before applying this?

I just downloaded it right now from Spectrasonics, installed it ( Mac version ) but only the audio unit seems to get updated, my vst still says 1.9.8.f, the au says 1.9.8.g

Guys it is very easy to find out if the update worked. What is the major thing that this update is supposed to do? The ability to import REX files directly from the Stylus RMX standalone application. Try to do that. if it works , be happy and don't worry about what number shows up.
