Gullfoss is an easy-to-use tool for everyone from the amateur musician to the professional mastering engineer. Its clean user interface offers a set of basic parameters that can be adjusted to improve the clarity, detail, spatiality, and balance of a mix or recording in a matter of seconds.

Gullfoss is an intelligent equalizer that listens to a signal and decides how to prepare the audio so that your brain can get the most information out of it. The realtime analysis of Gullfoss uses Soundtheory’s computational auditory perception model to understand which audible elements are competing for your attention. Gullfoss allows for quick and precise fixes that would otherwise be unsolvable or would require significant time and experience to resolve.

Gullfoss is even capable of fixing balancing issues between different sound elements without access to the individual tracks. The internal auditory model allows Gullfoss to make objective decisions about the perceived sound. As a result, mixes processed with Gullfoss will generally translate more consistently between different listening situations.

Gullfoss, enabled by new patent-pending equalizer technology, processes audio with unrivaled sound quality. The equalizer is capable of changing its frequency response more than 300 times per second and without introducing audible artifacts or degrading signal quality. Together with the highly advanced computational auditory perception model that has been developed by Soundtheory, Gullfoss is the first and only product of its kind.

I still feel weird that they can crack Gullfoss but not Soothe.
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

It must be the same about R2R...


I remember reading one of their nfos, about a plugin made by a Japanese company.
(A plugin that allow users to create alternative Guis for their favorite plugins). That plugin would require a permanent internet connection, and would call home, to do several things.

R2r even found it was a 'shame'... and bam, they cracked it and released it, as a way to tell the dev 'stop doing that !'

Then, the are plugins/ companies that get a 'second chance', I guess...

For example, Sylenth1. It got cracked like crazy. Every single audioz member had downloaded and used it.

We imagine sylenth1 v3 isn't harder to defeat than a u-he or tone2.. or even a plugin alliance or a wibu.
But after being cracked and used by most users, I guess r2r wanted to give a bit of "peace", to sylenth1 v3 devs... and they decided to not release it, so the company can make a few extra sales (despite all the piracy, the were at least 1500-2000 soundbanks made for it... they must have sold a bunch of copies of sylenth1, despite audioz...)

The same way, they want some companies to make a bit of cash. Soothe must be one example. The same easy, they would never release a cubase or wavelab pro, and risking destroying the whole audio industry (steinberg, vst.. they are the leaders, and create plenty of standards). The same with the vsti Rapid, or Avenger.

Yes, r2r has cracked Avenger, just like they cracked other mcfact/elicenser stuff, like the Waldorf plugins. But somehow, they decide to 'spare' Avenger, and a few others.


I guess the only way to have R2R release soothe, is having another group, like V.R, to release Soothe, with a few time bombs... 2 or 3 days later, R2R would then release a 'proper' version, perfectly cracked.

Then... R2R can't simply not release EVERYTHING they got.if today they opened their vaults, and released everything, what would they release, next month...

What is so very strange to me is that Gullfoss is by several orders of magnitude less important for audio production than Soothe.
If it is a big technical problem, R2R should inform us about it, because people are getting more and more baffled what it is all about.

I see a lot of speculation in your post. And some wrong judgements.
R2R did not ruin the Soothe's first chance, each no-demo working copy in the world is bought. Also, they can 'spare' them by cracking v1, now that there is v2 on the market.
If you looked at the list of audio software cracked by R2R you'll get vertigo, and it did not 'destroy the whole audio industry. For instance, WaveLab PRO 6.1.1 was cracked by team Air in 2010 (it was a world sensation) and it did no any serious harm to Steinberg, they just released a new version.
And in the end your conjecture that they might just not like Soothe is possible, but it is a very weird assumption.
P.S. It is not nice to treat team V.R like you did.

Not nice, maybe... but it's the only way they deserve to be treated.
I guess you would treat them in an even nastier way if you had worked really hard on a project with one of their countless "revisions" which exploded in your face...
Not only do they learn nothing from their errors (even R2R - in one of their NFOs - tried to show them the way to proceed... with no result), but they also release badly cracked plugins without even testing them. They are nowhere, period.
P.S.: I already see the morons who are going to fall on me... "We're waiting for your great releases, you ungrateful bastard!", so here is my reply to them: Gentlemen, I certainly do not crack better than VR, but at least I keep my shits for myself...
