Wire Grind - Doffset DC Offset Remover v1.1 - 32bit 64 bit Vst Win [free] screenshot
32bit 64 bit Vst Win - 1 mb
Audio signals often contain DC offset. DC offset is often not easy to recognize when using an audio editor. Offset correction can reduce the magnitude of a signal while maintaining the loudness. This is a potentially useful trick when mastering a track or when fighting in the loudness wars.

Doffset user interface
Doffset is specially designed to minimize any coloration to the signal and, at the same time, quickly adjust the signal to remove any DC offset. Doffset offers three modes of operation, each giving a slightly different trade-off between bass response and zero DC convergence time.

Three Modes
super low: This mode has the most bass but takes the longest amount of time to adjust to new offset. It will handle extreme bass, and it is suitable in all situations.

bass drop: This mode has an intermediate amount of bass and takes an intermediate amount of time to adjust to new offset. This mode is intended to handle deep bass, and it should be suitable for most situations.

guitar: This mode has the least bass but takes the shortest amount of time to adjust to new offset. This mode is intended for sounds that lack deep bass. It is suitable for sounds such as that of a guitar.

FYI: It's just a lowcut.

It definitely does more than lowcut. In fact, this is the best DC Offset plugin to use, because it truly removes the DC Offset. Most other programs and plugins try to "center" the audio to remove it. This might make the result test to 0 DC Offset, but in some cases applying gain will cause DC Offset again. If you examine the wave form you can see that any kind of weirdness in extreme cases is just "centered" but not truly removed.

Also, if you just lowcut with other plugins in cases like this, it might remove the majority of the DC offset, but it doesn't test at 0, and might recur with further processing.

If you already use some kind of DC Offset remover, I encourage you to compare your wave forms and results to the results from this plugin.

I use it at the default with the knob set to "super low" which will retain sub bass.

After one pass of this plug-in, DC offset check in my DAW shows that the DC offset is now zero. But if I do another pass with this plug-in, or several passes in a row, the wave graph changes each time, meaning that the plug-in processes it (and changes it) over and over. But if the DC offset was at zero (removed) in the first pass already, what does it really do in other passes?
