Doesn't work on MAC - asks for serial number when instantiated in Logic Pro X. I followed instructions VERBATIM - otherwise the key wouldn't have generated to desktop to be copied into designated Application Support folder. Has anyone managed to INSTALL (not just freakin' download) this on Mac? If so - did it not request serial #?

It seems that way, at least on Mac. Not working - 10 MINUTE DEMO plastered over it plus serial requests (after following instructions verbatim and successfully creating/ replacing .ol2 file) .. Grrrrrr!!!

No virus on Mac version, but like a fair while ago, despite following instructions verbatim, with correct MAC address (in caps), doesn't bloody authorise, asks for serial number when it instantiates and locks into 10 min demo mode. So much for the 'new' keygen ;(.

Tried to install the last version of this. I installed as per instructions and had no success. I guess I shouldn't bother trying with this version either by the sounds of things?

Willie, don't think you're doing anything wrong. This is much the same as the last release a fair while back of all these 'Gems' - similar in the fact In that it doesn't freakin' work ;(. It shows up in Logic Pro X, but with DEMO plastered all over it, requesting a serial. I feel only the Windows users are happy on this release...

To any having trouble using this on OSX, place OLTD.ol2 here:
/Users/***you***/Library/Application Support/Overloud/GEMS
instead
Where ***you*** is the account name on your computer. Worked for me. Hope it does for you

Obviously, you'll need to have your User folder library visible. Check online how to do this as it varies over different versions of OS X

Probably works the same for other Overloud products too.

To all I have been able to activate this by, using the MAC... address listed in the Network, Ethernet, Hardware section. and then copying the activation file into

User/Library/LibrarySupport/Overloud/GEMS

The problem I'm having is that the "GEMS" folder isn't being created. The hidden Application Support Overloud folder isn't being created, so there's no place to place the .ol2 files when the keygen creates it.

In the Overload folder, and this is on Mac BTW, there's whatever Gems plugin folder you have (Gems TAPEDESK) followed by a separate GEMS folder which contains .ol2 files ready to be replaced the keygen version of the same file. I don't have that separate GEMS folder. Does anyone have that folder?

Ok, I figured it out. There are two Application Support folders.
/Library/Application Support/, and
~/Library/Application Support/, which is the hidden folder.

When installed, there will be created an Overloud folder in the regular Application Support folder. This has to be moved to the hidden AS folder. Then, create a GEMS folder in the same place. The .ol2 files will be added to the GEMS folder.

Also, Little Snitch didn't work just trying to add www.overloud.com to block. I ended up having to block Logic from sending or receiving data in order to for the plugin to work. I blocked Logic in Litte Snitch.

What worked for me, is to watch the little snitch monitor. and when you see your DAW appear. Click .... "more" .... tab Then you will see "Overloud" trying to connect. Right Click on it, and create a new little snitch rule. .. to block it.

You are looking for the application folder in the wrong place. The user has the user / Application folder / overload / gem folder in it. when you get there, the problem will be solved

You're instructed to block the plugin from calling home. Apparently it does it on a random basis. Little Snitch perhaps?
