When running the stand-alone version of KOMPLETE KONTROL for the first time, open Preferences > MIDI and enable all MIDI input ports for the KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series keyboard
For host integration setup, refer to the online KOMPLETE KONTROL documentation. Sorry for the dumb question, but can someone tell me if there is any point in downloading this if you don't own an NI controller? I just can't really understand the difference between this and Kontakt.

Not a dumb question at all. I would reckon that this would be of limited value to someone without a Komplete Kontrol. It basically is a software front end to audition and control instruments and FX that conform to the NKS format through the hardware controller. i.e. you can preview and adjust instruments such as Kontakt.. Hope that helps.

If you use other NI software, you either go all legit or all ‘k’d’ versions. This also applies to Komplete Kontrol.

Me 2 stand alone and vst both demo 2.02 works fine I have installed and reinstalled many different ways still no luck maschine updated fine though
