10 isn't even officially released yet and v9 is essentially the same as 10 apart from a few additions and quirks.
No one knows what the copy protection is like on v10 so stop wasting your time by waiting. Install v9 now and start learning how to use it in time for when v10 does get released.

If anyone can't get Ableton to start up you need to run it through Batchmod and be sure to check the boxes that say 'Apply to enclosed folders and files'
choose "root" wheel" and then check all boxes, and clearownerships,
