All that happens is. two lines get added to your hosts file which do nothing more than prevent you from accessing sites which steal R2R's work and claims it as their own!

1/ I've never used these crappy websites such r2rdownload... I don't approve business over warez too. Also I know R2R doesn't have public website.

2/ My "hosts" file is clean, meaning all entries are commented, and the most inportant, I'm using TAB char (once) as separator between IP address (127.0.0.1 in general to block) and relevant hostname, not space(s), but KeyGen accepts only spaces and doesn't accept TAB(s).

3/ Wasting time to fight against them, instead of fix some of their releases some of them don't work since ling time, like Plogue Garritan (timebombs was never fixed).

4/ I'm not ridiculous. I don't understand the way took by R2R since some months. QED.

It's not a pleasant situation, not for R2R and not for us.

Ridiculous maybe an exaggerate term, when you think about what else could R2R do?

But on a long term, any person will see that those website that are made using R2R name are useless.

About the time R2R waste against these sites, I dont think it takes long to them to prepare a keygen that checks the host file.
It takes more time to members that have protected host file to find out how to get their keygen working.
Not to speak about the ones that have no clue about how this works.
So it's a bit unfair that innocents are paying for the guilty ones.

About the unfixed releases, maybe they are working on it, time bombs can really take a very long time to be cached.

But most of all, guys, this is not place for this conversation. Please keep in topic and comment the release.

Why not create a thread in our sister site where we could exchange views and possible solution to this problem?

Oly, be sure the KeyGen checks the two lines from hosts, otherwise you've got the final dialog box "Fine release by TEAM R2R 2017" without registration stage. As I've said, R2R take wrong ways since many months (like KeyGen for any Kontakt library).

I'd like to add that this is only useful for computers that have both Internet and audio in one OS, which I don't. So I could visit those websites easily from Linux and still have them blocked in XP and W7 which don't see Internet at all. One could also use VM for Internet and circumvent the hosts file that way, or run the KG within it.

So yes, it's more of a nuisance than useful, but if R2R likes it that way, so be it.

Love R2R, but I wouldn't have even known those sites existed if R2R didn't require us to add them to our hosts file. They're giving them free advertising
