One word: Useless in 2017 !

What would you say is the best for this type of workflow (slicing and triggering within a vst) now?

SliceX?

Can this save files as an "ACIDized" WAV, with slice info?

If not can someone recommend a program (other than Magix ACID Pro) that does?

I tried it last year for a bit, and this time again. The slicing on this plugin is the best I have came across, mainly due its accurate representation of colours on certain frequencies. Manual slicing is fun and really is spot on. I wish this product was further developed, because overall It's a bit tedious to work with IMO.

There are faster/ more stable sampler/slicers (obviously we live in 2017) . But I havent really found one yet that really clicked with me yet.

Geist 2 is fun though.

I would love a recommendation for these types of plugins aswel.

Cheers that you uploaded it though, PiRAT

Useless in 2017 ?!!! I don't think so...Maybe useful for the next 20 years. Toss out that old telecaster...it's too friggin' old! Many people can't get Hypersonic 2 to work on newer machines but I tell you I'll never own a machine that CAN'T run Hypersonic 2. The advantage is that you'll be able to grab a dual-core or quad-core laptop from a thrift store for a buck or two. Your newer 'SHIT' doesn't make music any better.

Compare a Telecaster to a software is a bit of a stretch.
Anyway, your "SHIT" word is useless and does not bring anything to the conversation,
so please keep your language correct.

What is good about liveslice, is it's lightweight, easy to use interface, layering and sequencing multiple slices on single key, multitrack and live performance, assignable output per slice, live recording capability.
Today good alternative is Serato sample, which is fast, lightweight, has top quality pitch shifting and timestretch and developers are working to add more features based on user's feedback.
Own both licenses, Serato offered it for half the retail price.
