Repro-1 dives into the past for analogue inspiration, reverently modelling a classic synth. Every detail of the original was captured using component-level modelling technology to create the most authentic model possible. All the subtle characteristics and quirks found in the original are present in Repro-1.

Repro-1 is a fierce synth: hard working, raw sounding and immensely playable.

dear Team VR and Horsemen. did you actually try this? there are notes which are not playing. on every preset there are a few dead notes. can anyone confirm this?

There is a known problem with notes not triggering presets, see this post on kvr for a workaround,

Most uninformed post ever... If there was only one synth "like no other", this obviously would be Repro-1 since no one has ever achieved such an accurate modeling of analog electronic components (as far as synthesizers are concerned).
Beyond the technical exploit, this allows musicians to perform oscillator modulations never heard before in the vst world, and thus, original tones and sound design.

I strongly advise you to think twice before you drop a comment next time.

What is this fashion in music software industry to make plugins which emulate ancient synthesizers or effects ?? They are ancient,time is to build the future,not to build history again !

I don't know how many Synths plugins with 2 oscillators saw/pulse/triangle are in the market,but at least 500...Nothing,nothing new !

In the past U-He made fantastic synths like Zebra or Diva,but since 2 years the inspiration,quality,innovation are not with Hive and this one that I tried the demo.

Because probably U-he's guys like other develops have the 80s' nostalgia in their minds when the noisy ‌sawtooth sounds were dominant and try to recreate that era.

And also one of the reasons that most of today's musics sound the same is likely using the same synths with similar structure or at least same presets.

By the way, you mentioned Diva but it is similar to this one: A very good emulation of some yesteryear synth.

Bazille and ACE are also great. Instead of these simple 2-osc synths I think there should be more modular synths like that. Indeed, it's not 80s any more ffs!

Diva and Repro1 can be plain reproduction of yesterday sound, it's true and imo it is something very nice because there isn't a lot of other devs that actually manage to pull it and give us hardware sound with soft.
But they can do much, much more and Uhe has added a lot both in diva and repro1 to go much further than recreation of yesterday sound, but it requires to know those synths and use them at their full potential.
Bazille and Ace are the same, they can be classic or pure unheard sound if you manage to do some sound design...
Others are like this btw : polykb, SynthX2 or Oddity 2 can both recreate classic sounds and give you more if you can tweak them the right way.

Serum and Zebra2 which I love too, they can be adavnce sound design machines (again you have to know how to use them too) but it's impossible without fxs chains to recreate that sound from yesterday, there will always be something missing. Each synth has some strenght and weakness, depends what you go for and need.

If there's a way to change it in the installation, I can't figure it out. oh well. Either way, thanks for this!
