There is actually no malware at all on Rutracker.
It's free, fast and perfect if you refuse to let uploaders earn money thanks to warez ("And middle finger to the people who make money with our effort." - R2R).
It's also very handy because most big libraries releases are already decompressed, so you can download only the files you really need (in case of updated files or if some of yours are corrupted, lost, saved by mistake after modification, etc.).

Everytime you launch the Cakewalk products, it runs CCC silently and calls home. It can deactivate your current license, well, we don't know.

So it's definitely an invasive copy protection!

Because you don't need to Install Cakewal Command Center to register it!!!

You can create an offline authentication call/response key from the plugin itself (dropdown triangle on the right) that you can save and upload to cakewalk to get the license file.

You still need to register an Account at Cakewalk though, but it does definitely not require the CCC!!!

I agree, it's a very good compressor, it's my go to for fast use when I don't want my creative flow to be interfered by too many options.

I agree that this is an awesome compressor. Really, really good.
I still have an old AiR release (the one with the serial key) that works like a charm.
Now, the process chosen by CW to make this compressor free is.... strange. They state that you must download and install CCC and only then you choose to install the compressor.
The PC that I use to play with music (just for fun, not a cent made with that) is NOT connected to the net, so the whole process is more complicated.
Now, some wise folks down here say that you don´t need to download and install the CCC.

I for one will appreciate some light on how to download and install a legit copy of this without the CCC.

So, if there are problems with "activation and cracking of free plugin" with R2R keygens, is it worth updating? What are the changes since 2.0.0 from 2013 ???? a lot of changes? or just "new protection system + it is FREE + more problems from attempts of cracking + minor-bugs-fixed blahblahblah" ?
