Swing is working as desired . it´s the way it´s been used in this software.

if you have the controller you can hit single pads or choose to quantize the whole track.
i assume you have to mark the midi with mouse before quantize it to get it working without REN oder Studio. (can´t say exactly because i own Ren+Studio)

but i can say with the controller(studio) or Ren all is working fine here!

The main point of this release is (in my opinion) to get rid of the limitation that you only can use this software on 3 Pc´s at the same time. So more a service for legit customers here i guess. i have to say thanks to V.R. i really appeciate this

i don´t want to get in this funny maschine-mpc debate here. this only exists in internet forums. it´s very simple. use what works best for you and be happy ;)
but i also read you comment regarding to use mpc 1000 and i want to say.. if you want the real deal you have to use 3000,2000,2000xl or 60 to get that sound you may have searched for (regarding to your mfdoom avatar) 1k and 2500 only have the advantage of JJOS that makes it more comfortable to use. dope gear if you are able to use it but not that A/D converters/filters you may have looked for..

but with correct bit crush,hi-cut settings and some dist/tube emulation you can create a very similar sound in any daw nowadays anyways..

in the browser (Left hand side) it says "Time Correct" . The option to "Apply" your swing amount is there. I do wish they had an apply button right next to the "Swing" amount on the right side of the browser.

One of the big differences between the MPC software and Maschine is the MPC software tends to be a few more clicks to do some basic things. Other than that they both have their pros & cons.

I have a MPC, I can't really respond to that one.
But my guess is it's because it is a good sequencer, a dope sampler, it has the vintage mode, it works in stand alone, vst, with or without the mpc. A pretty good option for any one.

For testing it. I owned an MPC 1k before I switched over to Maschine so I was curious about it's strength and weaknesses.

The comparaisons doesn't really stand. It has more features than Geist 1, it is a sequencer which battery isn't so it has in fact more features than Battery, it does have less feature than Geist 2, and I don't know nor care about maschine, sorry.
But it is buggy, that part is true. You got a + 1 from me for being very, very vaguely right.
