If you have MP3's, it's a good way to manage and covert them into usable DAW format files (unlike Battery, etc.). Other than that, it's useless....

The legit MPC software can also be used without the MPC attached.
You can even Download the legit software and run it in demo mode without MPC attached :)

I bought the MPC Ren some weeks after release. The only thing I was doing at that time was writing bug reports. What a crappy piece of amateur software. Heck, even a Roland MV8000 has more features and it is a Hardware unit :)

I have the MPC Content from 2013, The sample content is 2,89 GB not 9 GB. I assume that they also count in the VSTs they include

this beats the hell out of any previous mpc made but of course you need a mpc controller. elements can pass but no cords and no
screen. i brought element then studio then ren. the software only runs on 4 computers at a time. great sound, great timing, and really
fun to use.

We are waiting for Akai to release mpc 2.0, this piece of software will soon be obsolete. it's going to be mpc touch or ableton push 2 for me, depends on what Akai has up his sleeve with 2.0. June is going to be an very exciting month.

i use it with my MPD32 and personally i loved it. Its keeps me engaged focused with its layout. if i could only control the play, stop and record functions with my MPD32 it would be perfect.

in machine and the rest its to cluttered. this gui is perfect to me. cheers :D
