Instructions
1. Go to waves folder and Install Waves Central and Run
2. Select Offline Installer and Click Install from an Offline Installer
3. Browse the Waves folder you downloaded (For Mac Users, move folder to "Users/yourname/public/")
4. Select the plugins you like and Install!
5. Apply patch and Enjoy

For anyone who gives a dang, I reverted my iMac back to boot from an external USB drive and all 614 plugins (reinstalled from the Feb. 17 version) are scanning now.

Proof AFAIC that it's the software (on Mac) in this release that does NOT work.

Someone mentioned demos. is there some idea that going to v12 demos on the entire list could get these registered in AU's and then patched after to keep showing?

I didn't even download this and I can confirm that this version is buggy. I updated via their Waves Central and their 12.7 update of plugins leads to them disappearing in Pro Tools and not opening in FL as well.

A few people on this thread have said to go back to the version released on 2/17. I installed that version and the install went fine, but trying to load any of the new plugins in FL studio crashed the DAW and the plugins failed Auth in Logic. Any idea why that might be?

uninstall previous versions and delete al waves folders in program files/vstplugins, commons, program x86 waves, users appdata roaming, local and program data...

then instal v12 17.02.21 from here and works...

I've found the solution. 100% working in Pro Tools (AAX) and Reaper, Ableton Live (VST,VST3) on Big Sur 11.2.2 macOS

1. Run Waves Central and update all plugins you need to 12.7
1. Open /System/Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app
2. Type in search field "waves" and process with name WavesLocalServer will appear.
3. Select it then press "Stop" button and press Quit on popup menu
4. Move to trash /Library/Application Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer/WavesLocalServer.bundle
5. Install WavesLicenseEngine.pkg
6. Run Reaper go to Reaper/Preferences/VST, press Re-scan and select "Clear Cache and Rescan"
7. Enjoy

Next time you run Waves Central you will need repeat this again.

Tried the above via sotger and got this to work in Win10 too. Win use Task Manager in lieu of Mac's Activity Monitor and follow same steps. If you don't see WavesLocalServer running in task manager (it's not always there but sometimes is) then just rename or delete the .bundle folder which can be found in Windows under ProgramData/Waves Audio/WavesLocalServer. We'll see how long this works before it fries again...this is only a workaround and not a true fix.

I wasn't having a problem with VST, only AU. Is your AU Waves working in Logic or Live? I tried the above and it didn't work for me at all for AU.

This didn't work for me in either Reason or FL Studio. Trying to load any of the newer plugins (nashville or vocal bender etc) DAWs just crash.

with this method,the new preset browser doesn't work

What i mean is that,if you have your "/Library/Application Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer " folder empty,then waveslocalserver app does not load in the background.This results to working plugins but no new preset browser...

Now,if you leave in your "/Library/Application Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer " folder with the new "waveslocalserver.bundle" v12.7.0.223,this results plugins not to show at all for example in Pro Tools
But,if you see in my "trick" mentioned in page 2,i have a working new browser with my 12.7 plugins
This happens because,in my "/Library/Application Support/Waves/WavesLocalServer " folder there is a previous "waveslocalserver.bundle" v12.0.0.87 which works ok with the patch

However,still no solution for AU
Let's wait for the big boys ...

Clearly this AU problem is a waves problem and not the patch issue. I get no AU scan even before the Patch is applied. I just can't believe t hey could let this linger.

UPADTE (For Windows) :
Install with wave center normally .
Apply R2R Patch.
Delete folder "ProgramData\Waves Audio\WavesLocalServer" .
