This is banging! thanks to all the people that put hard work into this and free this deserved more. One of the best plugins I have come across in a while tbh. My only problem was I downloaded the presets from the link in these comments and I thought it was a simple usual case of drag and drop into the plugin but it doesnt seem to recognise them can anyone help me with this?

Why do you think every plugin should recognise a drag and drop preset file? Do you know how many preset files there are for this thing?! Would you like to drag and drop 500 files into it? Do you have time to do it? Look, just extract all the preset files into a folder of your choice, open the plugin, open the preset browser, click "data sources", add the fkn folder and thats it. Maybe youll have to press "refresh", too. Congratulations! Cheers!

I’ve found the ORIGINAL ROM by unpacking the TI software installer with the unpacker 7zip and renaming the file β€œfirmware_bin” to β€œfirmware.bin” (just to say it’s really easy to find the ROM of the TI (at least for me)) sorry if I’ve told something wrong, but it was only to let you know...πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

rom is included in the upload anyway. so why bother with the installer?

I feel the difference by a little saturation on the real Virus TI because the converters, some aliasing artefacts from original virus DA board :)...over this, the emulation is perfect! Is mathematic and numbers.
I do own the TI2, the Indigo and i also owned the C and the B witch sounds more warm.
This emulation like the others, is the state of the art of reverse eng, brilliant work, amazing versatility, some of you wrote that is not fair to get the rom out because the TI not yet discontinued, bullshits...only bullshits, Access stopped to support it and I'm pretty happy to get it in a plugin ...The Usual Suspects Crew (TUS) respected a lot the Access Company, this plugin was keep internal for longtime, and all we knew it, and what Access did to fight this reversing application and move the marketing? Kemper amps? :)
We where asking a Virus TI3 since 2017...... no other words needs!
Well done TUS!

Hi, Is there only one ROM included, Ti2_Snow firmware.bin?

Access bundled all required firmware into one bin file.

Would be FANTASTIC if virus users can SHARE more presets, especially the newer packs.

There is a LINK... to tens of thousands of PRESETS... in THIS very THREAD. THRICE! If you only BOTHERED to LOOK on the third page.

3 pages, man. 3 pages. Not 20, not 50, but 3.

Hey JACK-ASS, the link you're talking about is several years old containing some presets well over 10 yrs old...and yes, I'm well aware of the link. If YOU bothered to read my post which referred to "more" presets, especially "newer packs" then you would realize I'm referring to something else.

Why don't you go ahead and acquire these new packs and then share them with the rest of us? Instead of sitting there with your hands out always expecting something for nothing

Sure so you can sit there with "your hands out always expecting something for nothing" and download them for FREE hahhh?? HYPOCRITE RETARD much ???!?

I’m not the one asking for anything. My comment to you wasn’t literal. Also the childish insults are really unnecessary.

Yay! The presets i made along the past 19 years play just like my hardware!
Now to check out (according to the preset manager) 175,509 banks. Lol.

Arps clock to the daw without drift, unlike my TI. And I can run 128 instead of 1024.

Maybe finally I can leave catalina.

What would be a good plugin to emulate the DAC sound of the Virus TI2 ?

TAL has a DAC emulating plugin, but that one emulates the DACs of several vintage samplers.

TAL ones could be great, maybe Decimort by D16?

lol please tell me what the Virus TI2 DAC 'sounds' like?

i am nearly certain that if we record the exact same patches via analog outs and then the digital outs, nobody will be able to tell the difference between the two. i bet you they would null until some absurdly imperceptible point like -100db and then maybe you will see (see, not hear) some hiss and hum.

I own a Virus TI desktop and I can tell you there's a difference in sound between the "analog" hardware outputs and the USB virtual outputs within your daw (total integration).
I've setup the Virus TI total integration pretty well. Synchronisation works good enough to work with. I use Studio One with a RME Fireface audio interface.
This OsTIrus thing surprises me. It sounds very close if not the same as the real hardware with the virtual outputs used. The power of the OsTIrus VST is its stability and the ease of operation and fast loading times. With a powerfull CPU you can have ten's of Virusses in your mix! Now everyone can enjoy the great sound of the Virus TI.

Please elaborate, what exactly does the 192kHz/24bit DAC sound like?

Like a pristine Digital Chip 😜😜😜

The world getting strange if someone wants a plugin that mimic an Digital synth Dac...but maybe this is not snake Oil

But thanks for the Emu really good work I even like the Browser and how fast it scan the sounds something most VSti Developer can look for....

Looking forward the MW X T πŸ‘πŸ‘

It's time for some IR from USB Audio Interfaces

^^ It's not strange at all to mimic a DAC; the 12bit DX7 DAC for, for example, does some analog filtering and companding in its signal flow. That has a discernable sound and it is approximated in Dexed and emulated precisely by Plogue in their OPS7.

The Virus TI2, with its very modern and transparent DAC, does not have a discernible sound. And if it does, I would certainly like to know what it sounds like.

You want to mimic the Virus TI2 DAC?? put some noise and 60hz hum at -140dB LOL

This is exactly what I'm trying to tell people during the past several years I don't know maybe they have meta human ears or something like that :)
right now I can't almost say when my DAC in my audio interface which costs about 2000$ and my built in computer audio which costs about 30$ difference is! and thats how everything is good enough and standard these days

After working in the industry for about 18 years and owning Virus C and TI2 plus a lot of other gears including cheap and expensive AD/DA and monitors I can guarantee nobody can't spot the differences! I'm not saying that there isn't any difference at all what I 'm trying to say is that it's so close that you just can't hear it with your ears! (all the other things people say is just psychological)
