The patch doesnt modify any xml file. It modies the plugin executables embeded in the plugin package. Its a simnple regex statement, but it will mess up the executable file.

The only way is to wait for the right INTEL patch

After running the first patch I think I messed around with sudo.

I have the following message :

sudo: /etc/sudoers is world writable
sudo: no valid sudoers sources found, quitting
sudo: error initializing audit plugin sudoers_audit

Any idea how to fix this?

I know this crack is frustrating to people, mostly because they DL'd 40GB and have nothing to show for it (some folks have slow speed or even pay a rate for bandwidth). But we really need for this to be done properly instead of experimenting with sudo commands.

The plugins work great, but in demo mode.

There is only an issue with the patch files that are not working on Intel. They semm to be "Silicon only". We need to have the right patches for intel to get it working.

The patched Intel plugins have the GUI error which of course is a deal breaker. However, at least some of the patched Intel plugins still can be played and do not time out. Some of the knobs are even accessible. In NI Komplete Kontrol, the presets are all accessible as are many of the knobs using the KK interface.

That doesn't work. The previous _gui.xml files are structured slightly differently - it looks like the old version references a lot of component-level parameters inline, while this new one references external linked XML files for styling. There's a whole new "skin" architecture in this new suite that wasn't used in the old one. I poked through it enough to get a sense of what might be going on:

It doesn't seem to be anything specific related to these XML files. I took the new XML file that throws the index error and started replacing it bit by bit with sections from the previous version, and nothing jumped out as a file that was missing, renamed, or without correct permissions. By removing references in the new file, I eventually got it to a point where the AU plugin would load, but only in "Controls" mode in Logic - with the GUI completely disabled, but it at least wasn't throwing the index error. When enough code was replaced to bring the GUI back to rendering without any additional reference errors, the index out of range error came back.

Then, I looked at what the patch is doing - it's just replacing a couple very specific strings in the VST, VST3, and Component files - not anything in the resources folder, like where this XML reference is. It certainly doesn't seem like it would break a reference to a nested internal XML file.

My best guess is that the method used in the previous version causes issues in the new one, and Intel AU/VST3 wasn't tested.

Also, the patch has two sets of commands - one for x86 and one for arm64. Since Intel macs are the ones having issues, this would mean it's probably something in the x86 commands, and further, both the VST3 and the Audio Unit versions give the "index out of range" error.

I don't get what people are complaining about...I have installed this on my M1 macbook pro and it all works fine with the patcher 2. It is only when I merge the collection of soundbanks that the graphics issues start.

You already answered the question in your comment: you installed the software and patched with this adapted version of the .command files on M1 (ARM architecture). However, from what you say there could be another problem that adds to the malfunctioning of the scripts on Intel. I have to investigate further...

For Intel users, I found this is the part in the *.command files that is causing the "smartfilledcomponent: index out of range" issue

From what I gather with my limited knowledge of assembly language, the 's .... g' part is a function that switches the contents between the s and g in an existing array (likely an array containing the key which would let the plugin either go into full license or to go into demo mode), and the g is for matching the contents to the length of the array which the contents are being appended to. Something has changed with these updates, so I'm guessing there is a different array length now which is causing the mismatch and gui error to show. I don't have, nor know of, a decompiler that can see what is going on inside the plugin core file (the one located inside the MacOS folder inside the plugin package). But if someone knows how to do that, then perhaps they can use the above command line to cross reference with the key code inside the plugin and be able to fix the index length to the appropriate length/arrangement?
