WiN (V.R Patch) / MAC | 19 October 2020 | 6 GB / 5.3 GB
Waves V12 plugins let you resize your plugins so you can view them more easily. V12 also introduces a new preset search engine that lets you find & audition the perfect presets for your tracks, plus more new features. Update now to V12

With the new resizing option in Waves V12, you can choose from 5 retina-ready GUI sizes – up to 200% - so you can stop squinting, and keep your attention on what matters. You can also customize your own default size per plugin, to make sure that your favorite plugins always open in the size you want.

V12 also introduces a lightning-fast preset search engine, so you can find the prefect preset for your tracks more easily than ever. No need to browse manually through preset menus and sub menus – you can now search presets by text, filter them by name, and quickly audition your results.

Updating your plugins to V12 future-proofs your sessions and helps ensure your Waves plugins will remain fully functional on the latest operating system and DAW versions, so you stop worrying about software compatibility and focus on creating great things.

I always get an error in FL Studio that says it can't find the wave shell - "There was a problem opening the plugin WaveShell2 - VST3 12.0_x64 for an unknown reason. Please make sure it was installed correctly". I already had problems installing it at first, but it I was able to fix it by uninstalling the older version I had installed. I can't seem to fix this issue tho. Tried reinstalling many times or deleting traces of older version, but it won't work.

I get installation failed each attempt through waves central on mac catalina, but changing to just mercury abbey road etc. packs got it to complete install.

I'm about to install this and also on catalina. What do I do with all the five parts I've downloaded? Do I put all the contents into just one "part" before going through the instructions? Any other important info to note when installing? Newbie here

Nice to see someone else having problems with WavesCentral installation ;-)

But for your mentioned workaround, where do you get the Mercury etc. packs installation from?

The best way to do this is uninstall all 11 stuff and then run the install with waves central. (latest ver downloaded from waves) . Then just close the pop up upgrade to ver 12 window and choose the All plugins Tab at the top. Make sure to choose SD or HD on the instrument packs that you want. Studio Rack is still ver 11 (with an update) there so that's fine. So choose and then hit install. Takes a while. Then when done, close waves central and run the patch, then the 11 and 12 AU reg files inside the waves plugins folder, and then should work in your DAW.

The Mercury and Abbey road packs are listed under waves central in alphabetical order in "all plugins" tab. The install just went smoother by choosing packs and not individual files. I did delete the old v11 instruments and then downloaded all the v12 ones instead and that went fine too. I had to restart Logic a couple times to get all the plugs registered and listed. Any change you make, redo the patch and AU Reg files run again.

Thanks, grdh20xgman, but I now realize having misunderstood your post above: By "installation failed", you meant the installation of plugins, whereas my problem is that WavesCentral doesn't install at all (see my first post further above).
So my initial thought concerning your post was to get a workaround for the WavesCentral problem, but your actual intention was to have a workaround for problems of installation of certain plugins.
So, Mercury etc. packs don't solve my basic problem of needing a workaround avoiding the WavesCentral installation...

Thanks again, nevertheless.

Hello! How can I download waves instruments plugins like BASS FINGERS, RHODES, etc. without downloading their sample libraries in waves central? When I select BASS FINGERS it says 2.23GB size.

Is there a way?

After installing waves loading Pro Tools get error saying
"InnerProcessDictionary.dylib” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified."
then ask if I want to delete file or cancel if you hit cancel you get the same message no matter how many time you hit cancel. I finally hit delete after a least 100 times hitting cancel Pro Tools Works but Waves plug-ins not showing up.

Uninstall previous Waves, WavesCentral, SoundGrid Driver.

Clean up :
%APPDATA%\Waves Audio
%APPDATA%\Waves Central
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Waves Audio
%PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio
C:\Users\Public\Waves Audio

Install Waves 12

Download Waves.Complete.v2020.09.08.Emulator.Only-R2R
Copy emulator(s) folder to
%PROGRAMDATA%\Waves Audio\Modules\

Done.

Try unchecking SD/HD from the bundles. Everything is fine here.

macOS Catalina 10.15.7 / Logic Pro X 10.5.1

1. Internet connection OFF
2. Go to waves folder and Install Waves Central and Run
3. Select Offline Installer and Click Install from an Offline Installer
4. Place Waves folder in Macintosh HD > Users > Username > Public > Waves Offline Installers
5. Browse the Waves folder you downloaded
6. Select the plugins you like and install
7. Close Waves Central
8. Apply patch
9. Press Reg Utility in WaveShells v11
10. Restart Mac
11. Open DAW and finish scan

This works for me each time since several releases ago. Although I have to mention that I don't use all plug-ins so I only install what I need (mostly from the Mercury bundle and SSL).

Hey there,

For me this answer is great but only 99% there in terms of me understanding how to do this.

Nobody is talking about the fact that this download comes in five "parts". I don't understand what to do with the other 4 "parts".

PLEASE see this video of me explaining my issue, any help is appreciated! - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UuLtDBgIGMfMLKvi0jISMcnqV1osPD11/view?usp=sharing

on windows it's the same, 5 parts. so we just open part 1 (it grabs the other 4) and unzip part 1 only and install from there. winrar is da best on windows. don't know if it works on mac

Thank you so much for the clarification!

My next question is.. When I go to install from part 1, do the other 4 parts also need to be in the public folder or should they stay in downloads?

I watched the video. The issue you're describing has to do with extracting all parts the right way. If you use The Unarchiver or Keka you only have to select 1 file and it takes all the others as well, resulting in 1 folder with all the necessary Waves files included.

With big files it's common for uploaders to choose more parts. Another workaround would be downloading from Mac Torrents related sites. Hope this helps.

I think some of the download fail issues were on the waves server side. maybe just many people updating at once.
