Everyone is gonna be using this thing now but it's so versatile that everyone can make their own unique sounds with it. It can do anything from icy digital 80s sounds to warm Moog. So it doesn't really matter. Exciting times to be a synth nerd!

This is a ROM file, aka, the file that will get flashed into the Hardware ROM of the Virus XX

It is not a ROM file for me. It is BIN

Bin = binary, Bin is the regular file format for a ROM file.
If you want to supply something, you can. PM is open for that.

  Resident 23.12.2009 1 1583

it meant to be used with OsTirus

it's actually a 1:1 emulation so, no it's not. It's not the Total Integration or Aura plugins that you can use with the hardware it's literally a replacement for it....save your money

??? The dsp is emulated, the only downside is no hardware and higher latency .
bounce in place also works with the hardware TI ?

So it is not what ?
The bin is needed to run OsTirus

The sense of DSP56300 Osiris is that it is same sounding from my PC as from my Virus C.
It open presets, banks on PC and all is same, ROMs, bugs from OS etc. Same
The difference are only: Virus native sample rate (46875Hz or so) is resampled with built-in SRC into your project sample rate (44.1, 48, 96k..) vs. hardware Virus with its same native sample rate through Virus DAC, through wires into your ADC.
So, you don't need digitize it, record, just same code in your PC but with 3rd party SRC resampler.
44.1kHz on test sines is the most noisy, distorts and ringy. 48 and higher are waaaay better (different aliasing, distortions, noise, but way quieter).

I think TI version might be same on PC as hardware thru digital inputs and outputs, USB.... No difference at all

Same should be for hardware Waldorf microQ and software Vavra emulation, but can't test, because have no such hardware.

Hopefully it'll be more stable than the actual hardware.
