Good trick, but, Is the hardware id stored somewhere on the old install to read and copy? I don't really want to unreregister the old ver just to re-run the keygen if I don't have to.

You do not need to install the previous copy, you can download the installer, extract it and manually copy the plugin, open your daw and get the code

Well they call it a challenge code. I think you have to run the old keygen on the prior Omni install, get the challenge code, then save the code for use aftyer upgrading to this release, then run the keygen, patch the files, then input the saved challenge code, run the plug and input the generated lic # result.
yeah, it's a pain for a minor upgrade.

unless I'm wrong, these are just updates from Spec site,
since they've changed the auth process, I strongly advise to wait for a proper release.

+, if you're on Mac, it seems the update is mainly oriented towards power-users and/or Big Sur compatibility for the new ARM macs

dont know why but cant open these keygens... I mean antivirus is off but keygens wont start...

EDIT:

ok... run keygens... I have activated 2.6.3c... replace dll and exe with 2.6.4c and I have activation window.... when I'm back to 2.6.3c its all activated.... Problem is that I dont know how to get challange code again from 2.6.3c...

Ye, AUDIO16.dat is Omnisphere, AUDIO18.dat is keyscape and AUDIO13.dat is Trilian.

On the Keyscape post I also added the new Keyscape update for Win & Mac. Activates the same as Omnisphere, just the patching had to be done manually as the keygen can't find the patterns in the new update.

ok so i tried this for trilian and its a no go, the new trilian .dll is failed patching with the R2R keygen, i guess R2R needs to update the keygen to patch trilian now, it does not patch the .dll so it wont detect the previous authorization

im assuming its the same for keyscape

I found some instructions on RUTracker that worked for me in the end:

The easiest way to update
1. Along the path C: \ ProgramData \ Spectrasonics - delete the AUDIO16.DAT file
2. Along the path C: \ ProgramData \ Spectrasonics - run Omnisphere.exe, save the Challenge Code to a text file
3. Run KG - paste the Challenge Code - then generate the key and copy everything to a text file and save for the future)
4. Install the update
5. In KG, press PATCH and select the files in turn:
Omnisphere.exe, along the path C: \ ProgramData \ Spectrasonics
Omnisphere.dll along the path C: \ ProgramData \ Spectrasonics \ plug-ins \ 64bit [I ALSO PATCHED THE SAME ONE IN MY VSTPLUGINS FOLDER]
Omnisphere.dll along the path C: \ Program Files (x86) \ VstPlugins \ Spectrasonics [IF YOU HAVE IT]
6. Run Omnisphere.exe along the path C: \ ProgramData \ Spectrasonics
7. Insert the key that you saved into a text file and click CONTINUE

For MacOS:

MAC OS Catalina 10.15.7 and Logic Pro 10.6 normal flight!
There is no need to activate the omnisphere.
You only need to patch the component and vst files with the old 2048 keygen.
But then to open the program in standalone, you will need to enter the following commands in the terminal in turn:
sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Omnisphere.component and
sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Omnisphere.vst

In Logic Pro, use the manager to rescan the omnisphere.
Everything worked, checked after reboot - registration does not fly off.
I installed it over version 2.6.3.

Thank you josenacha for the procedure to follow, I will see as soon as I am ready and decided because I am a little apprehensive about the result being on Yosemite and without Omnisphere I risk having nervous breakdowns.

There is a way without updating, just by manually replacing in Trilian / Settings Library / Patches / Factory, all the .db files (keep the old ones just in case).

And add in addition the Trilian Creative.db folder, the presentation images are in "zoom" version but you can test the hundreds of new Trilian and Trilian Creative sounds by opening Omnisphere.

How could you patch the vst with the old keygen?
Also, if you use Logic you can’t know if vst works - which does not.
