Cytomic The Scream v1.0.8 CE-V.R screenshot
TEAM V.R | Win32/64 AAX/VST
The Scream is an analog modeled stomp box distortion plug-in based on the classic green Tube Screamer pedal.

It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulators, but optimised to run much faster, and features a gorgeous fully scalable user interface. It is a full discrete component model of the original, with modified Boyle macro modelled op-amps. All component and model values in the circuit can be edited to customise your tone. Choose LEDs or Germanium diodes to create asymmetric clipping combinations, chain any number of diodes in series or even bypass them altogether and let the op-amp do the clipping - the possibilities are endless!

I guess I need to put this out of sequence of what I normally would put it as I am plugging my guitar into my 4 watt Vox amp and then mic'd. The sound won't be the same this way as it won't react with the amp the same way. It needs be my guitar into a software chain I guess, something that I usually avoid doing.

wow if there is this much analog vs digital nerd debate in this thread, that must mean this thing is a threat to the analog purists' construct (and holy balls this thing does sound amazing - the whole mod section concept and voltage knob is brilliant)
make music, not walls.

Well, my experience is that this is not Analog VS Digital but it's important to know and understand each solution without prejudice to use them at the service of your art.

quote by OlymoonWell using a tube amp you need to adjust you input level then your gain level.
It's the same in digital world.

I have not said that one is better than the other, I'm only saying that many people who judge digital effects and amp emulations simply dont know how to use it.

Very true... Input level with pre-amps and distortion is super critical

In the analog or digital domain its a schoolboy error to drive the input TOO much. Analogue would be more forgiving but in the digital domain you will get digital distortion and it won't be nice because it's not the same kind of distortion.
