i forgot, you can do the same with nave, a great synth too. Backup the dll files (or vst3 files), go to waldorf website, install the new nave 1.12 with nks-support. Replace after installing the vst-dll and vst3-files and you can use everything in maschine 2.4 and KK 1.5

i try to make your way, but i'm getting a Maschine Crash everytime i open one Arturia plugin , at least , now i can see Arturia presets in maschine browser....

Did ever thing that it said in directions put ever time I start Maschine I get message "Maschine 2" is damaged and can't be opened. Youshould move it to the Trash.

Try repairing permissions by running this command in Terminal:

sudo chmod -R 775 /Applications/Native\ Instruments/Maschine\ 2/Maschine\ 2.app

Or try downloading again and before extracting the 7z file run this command:

xattr -c -v ~/Downloads/NIM2240UMACU.7z

hey, thanks for sharing.. every time I try to add a plugin by pressing the + at the sounds tab, the app crashes. do you know why that is? I followed the instructions 100%

I followed all the instructions and it just bounces in the dock. Using a mac with yosemite.

I cannot get Crystal Daggers and Velvet Lounge to run with this. Get the activation pop up. What am I missing? I even reinstalled.

Hey, Bandito, crystal daggers and velvet lounge will only work with the last update released by demontoad.. They need activation.

Yes, good tip for all i did not know before . VELVET LOUNGE AND C. DAGGERS will stop working with these release.

can use the samples bot can´t run the groups and stuff.

hope an activation for these come out.

I might have found a solution...

1) First I installed this unlocked version 2.4 and opened both packs to find out they dind't work (not sure if this makes a difference)
2) After that I replaced the application (.exe) V2.4 with the V2.3.1. of Demontoad (copy-paste the application and replace).
3) I ran Maschine (version 2.3.1) and received no activation error anymore, but upon loading project/kit/sound I received errors about plugins not found.
4) I still went on and opened one by one every project/kit/sound (I got errors that VSTs could not be found. Ignore that) and did "save as" every project, kit and sound in the same folders (inside Daggers/Velvet). Replace all files.
5) After going through all that I copy-pasted this unocked V2.4 back (replaced 2.3.1 version).

and voila the expansion packs work in this 2.4!!!

I am not sure if this works running Maschine inside another DAW and/or on a MAC

Thanks!!, your fix really was helpfull for me, also working with Maschine inside Ableton 9... only one thing, is that the Velvet Lounge and Crystal Daggers kits, open without midi events in my case, but is not problem with it for me.

there is a solution found on the net,

download the 2.3.1 R2R version with registry activation, and everything will be fine. :-)

Hello there. I had the "bouncing icon" problem with standalone launch (was working OK as a VST).

Here is how I've fixed it :

1- First go to .app location :
cd /Applications/Native\ Instruments/Maschine\ 2/

2- Then type :
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine Maschine\ 2.app/

Fixed it for me !

Can anyone help me out, Im having difficulty installing the program

after copying the com.native-instruments.Maschine 2.plist file
then when running the NI_Maschine_App.command I get the following message:

Installation folder not found! Please install from the original installation medium first. If the product is already installed on your computer, please start the latest version of Service Center, go to the "Overview" tab, click "Show Details" for the application you want to update, and browse to the current installation folder by pressing the "Locate" button. Then run the update installer again.

It is because the included script has a wrong path in it. You should manually copy com.native-instruments.Maschine 2.plist to **EDIT** /Library/Preferences/

Then repair permissions and you should be good.

If it fails, just install maschine update over and copy each file by following included instructions.

Thanks for the help K8L, but I'm still having issues installing it
I still get the following Failure message described in my previous post above

I'm running el capitan

I don't see the following folder : /Library/Audio/Plugins/
to copy the com file

In my folder I see: /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/

So I went ahead and created a folder(s) called Plugins/Native Instruments/Maschine 2 v2.4.0/ and copy the file there

I also put the com file in the /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Native Instruments/Maschine 2 v2.4.0/ folder

but still no luck. If you have any more suggestions please let me know

I still haven't gotten it to work, but I stopped running the script and used what Planetsoul suggested

If running NI_Maschine_App.command don't work please run these three commands in Terminal (one by one):

sudo mkdir /Applications/Native\ Instruments

sudo mkdir /Applications/Native\ Instruments/Maschine\ 2

sudo mkdir /Applications/Native\ Instruments/Maschine\ 2/Maschine\ 2.app

And also copy com.native-instruments.Maschine 2.plist to /Library/Preferences.

After doing this you will be able to update!

Same exact problem here.. Had to revert back to 2.2.4. Let us know if there is a fix for this.
