It's quite resource intensive but not that much on my machine, and is far less powerful than yours.
Anyway, no need to reinstall, if it's a CPU hog usually it has nothing to do with installation/protection/crack/anything else,
what cause high load is just their code. Or a combination of their code + your specific machine configuration that may for some reason show some unusual high load.

Hey thanks very much for your feedback! I figured this was an intensive plugin, but was surprised by it overloading my CPU. I turned the LPX buffer up to 512 and it seemed to help a little bit. Not sure what would be going on with my specific machine configuration (other than a lot of plugins) but oh well - I guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for future updates to see if any improvements.

I read all comments carefully, trying all options with both user-library and System library and installing the demo and replacing plugs and folders. To no avail. Everything is blocked with little Snitch so it can't be calling home but the plug comes back with "frei:raum could not load properly: Licence server unreachable. Please try again later or check your network settings." which seems to stop quite a few of us trying this generous upload. Mac Os X 10.11.6 /Mac Pro 12 core/ logic 10.3.1. Any further tips and hints appreciated ;-) Happy Mixing!

In El Capitan the folder needs to go in ~/Library not ~/Library/Application Support

Ok, thank you VERY MUCH, read every F*****G explanation about stupid people saying reading text and try again and again, so I'm glad to finally find the answer.
So sad that you are the last post...
Clever men should always be on the front of the less clever one.

But when I watch and discover this website I start to think that always stupid one think they got the answer and always talk to say nothing but s***t.

So thank you fakejoshua.

There should be an option to ask if there is a problem and a possibility to rate the answer, could avoid headache and reading stupid post and loosing time.

All done and remaining offline but still got this bloody message:

frei:raum could not load properly:

Licence server unreachable. Please try again later or check your network settings. May be this doesn't work on High Sierra and Logic ProX 4...

on Mojave it has to go in ~Library NOT ~Library/Application Support.

it works now.. for me.. if you LOCK the "sdid.son" file it will be registered.. high sierra here.

Anyone know where to put the folder on Catalina? Had it in ~Lib, ~Lib/AppSupport, Lib, and Lib/AppSupport still saying license server unreachable. Also changed permissions to folder and file as read-only and locked the file.

Everything works without a problem. Just the description of how to activate the plugin is not correct. Here's what I did, and it all worked.

1.Put AU, VST in the required folder
2. Open your DAW and Sonible Freiraum plugin
3.Most likely, you will come up with this message - Licence server unreachable. Please try again later or check your network settings. Close your DAW
4.Put sdid.son in the folder com.sonible.freiraum which appears automatically after you open the plugin for the first time. This folder is located in User/Library/
