You need apps on Mac to create folders?

Let me say that any windows user or any OS user around the world, is using an app to create folders at any time. And in case you disagree with me, could you tell me please what are the windows explorer, or mac finder, or linux nautilus, to name just a few, then ?. Even the command line or terminal is an app!.

Hmm, still trying to figure out the sense of this.

The sense of it is very easy to understand. It has to do with an easy access to all the plug-ins you download from internet, by creating different folders classified by categories, developers or whatever you want (something that most of us already do). So, the only thing kook has made is to create some nice looking icons for those folders, that's all.

I also don't get the point of it ...
I guess just for fun and good looking icons

My point is just about how to ask the question. It will be because I was taught the old fashioned way? I need an update on that.

I feel comfortable with "Folder Factory" and "IMG2ICNS", super easy to use for those without graphic design skills, like me.
Having custom folders helps me know the content without having to read the name, my eyes are not the same.

Forget about the "Plug-ins Folder X with Icon file inside" and unzip only the PNGs folder. Then organize your "downloaded audio" folders as you wish and use those PNGs (or any other jpg/png you have downloaded from internet) to change folder icons with "Folder Factory" if you're in a Mac, or a similar tool if you're in windows. That's all. I repeat: KOoK only made a fancy icons to make those folders look nicer and more easy to identify its content, and created some folders too as a kind of template (that unfortunately seems not to work).

But as i've said already, that isn't something you can not do by yourself with a little help from those tools i've mentioned above. Also, bear in mind that to do all that is not at all mandatory and that if you do it will not affect your DAW in any way. So, if you're already happy with your folders organization and appearance you can forget about all this stuff.

P.S.: All this confusion would not have happen if things were stated correctly in the original post!

Hm... I'm sorry for you PC users out there. I didn't know that even folders are different on Windows! But as fraggle83 has stated, you can convert the PNG files to folders using the right software.
