Install Notes:

4. Install the product online in Native Access by selecting «Repair» - «Reinstal» (If there is no choice to «Reinstall» - reboot Native Access.)
5. Install the patch on the installed product.

Native instruments won't be taking any action, during 1 or 2 weeks.
They will be quiet, collecting people's IP ADDRESSES, before they start requesting the full coordinates from those IPs... and start sending physical emails to those users, asking them to buy a full copy of Komplete, or... ending up in a trial.

Installing a cracked app, running it on a computer, without doing any harm to anybody, totally offline, IS ONE THING.

Installing an app, creating a fake account on a legit server, where reside hundreds of thousands of legit customers, utilizing precious databases and web server resources, that handle all the transactions, purchases, licenses, expiration dates, etc, then, downloading around 250 GB that compose the hundreds of different products, and utilizing precious server resources and a ton of internet bandwidth, and eventually preventing legit users from downloading their legit products at full speed,
THAT,
IT'S ANOTHER THING...

This isn't about a small company that makes 50 or 100k a year, by selling a few audio plugins. NO... this is NI... they have all the resources and money, and a bunch of layers, to mass sue a few thousands guys... or at least, send them a little "hello, mr. Xyz. Do you know who we are ? Hint : komplete disaster" letter.

How can they know ?
-They probably have some employees who regularly visit AZ
- they will detect a huge peak, on the internet bandwidth usage, once dozens, if not hundreds of people start downloading hundreds of gigabytes at once. Even if those files are distributed by some CDN (companies that distribute huge digital products to millions of clients, like software patches, etc), they will still notice the 2000% increase, of the new customers per hour, per 8 hours, etc...

Now, if there are only a few dozens guys doing it, they probably won't care...
But if they see 5'000 guys have downloaded 250gbs via a fake account and a cracked app, maybe they won't let it slide...specially if your live in an European country.

Of course, this is just my opinion. Feel free to not give 2 fuks about it :)

Er ... aren't these products downloaded as "trial versions"? In other words, you set up a Native Access account, you download the installers and content as trials, which is something anyone is allowed to do. Unless you're somehow hacking NI's Web site to grant you licenses (you're not), everything you're doing up to that point is 100 percent legal. And unless you're too stupid to block your installed apps from incoming or outgoing Web access after patching them, NI has no idea what happens after downloading the trial versions.

It's not that simpe. There's no Trial of Komplete 12 available. Instead, you have to request demos of every single product via mail first (if it's available), THEN you can download them. But if all of a sudden you have demos on your system without having requested a demo via email first, this then raises questions… and then it's far far from 100 % legal!

Expansions and Libraries need no patching... you just need Maschine, Kontakt, Reaktor (etc.) to be patched...

I am stuck in the past, and recently updated to Sierra, and all my other stuff is NI Service Center based. Is it possible to install this without bonking my LEGIT service center stuff or not?

Native Access will override Service Center either way. But you're going to have to upgrade to it eventually. I also have purchased products and software from them. You'll still see your stuff. Your purchased products will say "Full Version" in Native Access the rest will say "demo"
None of the "patched" libraries will work in a legit copy of Maschine. I download them anyway because I can still use the samples themselves in my DAW.
