Can someone confirm that the VST to AU manager results in a working AU file? I'm on Logic Pro 9 @ Mavericks btw. Don't want to mess up anything again (did a clean install recently). Thanks!

Hmmm… I am really skeptical about this one, because a) I never heard of this company, b) the GUI looks Uberfancy, c) Tape Emulation is a very complex field of research and I don't know if these guys have the Know how to create a good tape emulation or if the just hired a good GUI Artist/Photoshop guy :D

Ahhhh, now I see. Please excuse my previous Ignorance. ;) I am not a Nebula user that's probably the reason I never heard of them. Mac Notebook is pretty old and I never really found my way around working with Nebula. I tried Acustica's free Red eq once, but had major issues with installing it. Didn't work at all. So I never looked back into their products. Will have a look again since Nebula is widely regarded as THE SHiT! ;)

To set your expectations straight, this product is 'stage 3' in a 3-three-tape-emulation.

To be honest, it's widely report as the best and only worthwhile tape sim if you're really going for that sound.. but you'd need all three stages.

Using only this gets more of the tape compression, but less of the frequency response and saturation (because those are in the other stages).

So 1) This is awesome 2) CDSM is widely regarded as one of the best nebula samplers and actually the only one making standalone plugins to complement Nebula libraries (for stuff Nebula can't do) 3) If you think the sound is lacking something, remember that you're supposed to use this together with CDSM R2R Nebula Tape Library, followed by CDSM Nebula Tape Booster followed by this.
