Being a Hip-Hop Beat Maker for 15+ years, I have to tell you: stay away from this bullshit ass plugin if you actually know how to program drums.

First of all: the pitch does not work. 2nd: you cannot edit any of the Kits (exchange sounds, edit samples or ADSR curves, Pitch, Filter, layering etc.) The knobs visually glitch out when they are turned to 100 %. ^^

The Drum sounds are basically jacked from all over the place elsewhere – usually traditional kicks, snares and hi-hats, lifted from classic drum breaks. They sound nice, but everything is pretty generic and noisy at times.

The only nice thing is the 50 MIDI Files with drum patterns. And they renamed the Kits after famous producers with purposely misspelled names and shit (like 'Morley Morl'), to trick you into "Yo, that's that Kanye/Dre/Large Pro heat! Come n getit for 99 $, coz!" (Can't believe they charge you 99 Bucks for this shit and they don't even make the samples accessible).

I hate when companies do that. It's the same thing with fuckin' studiolinkedvst kontakt libraries - which suck ass too. Both fall in the same category of: stay away from this garbage, mayn! ;)

Products like these are the reason while all the music is sounding the same… think about it while programmin' your own drum pattens.

agree with every good point you made there. absolutely. sometimes you need a quick supplementary beat, or something actually to act as a side chain source, and this is good for quick and easy sources on that. but 100% agree with your assessment on where this slippery slope of "dope" plugins can go ala vengeance loops etc….

I downloaded their Bass Product and wanted to write a comment about it. You wrote all points. The same strategy like Studiolinked. The difference, these guys even do not want pay for GUI design and Sampler scripting and use Maize sampler.
I am sound producer too and when I see how these People try to make money by ripping others Work, makes me really angry.

Yeah, dopeVST plug-ins are based on maize sampler
so the code is pretty much the same, they only have the sample data included,
and the gui embedded that differs. Really easy to crack too.
