To the rest, if license don't work just add the .txt extension to the license file, put it in the desktop or download folder and run Mixbus, that's all.

I hate to say this, but ... Why should they download other 70MB for a single 17k .txt file (which BTW they can create by themselve with proper instructions) ?

So, to all those with PPC, you don't need at all to download two times the same thing to get the license key. Just create a txt file (textedit will not work at least you have it configured to save files as .txt), write KINGPINANDFRIENDS and save it as license_key_harrison_mixbus2.txt to your desktop and start Mixbus ... that's all. Alternatively you can use any license file from any previous v2.x you've downloaded, 'cause they work too (adding .txt extension if necesary).

That's maybe well meant but NOT very clever!! Let people decide on their own. Some PPC MAC users may want to have the INTEL version too, perhaps they will upgrade soon.

That's true, but there's a lot of difference (at least to me) in saying "Some PPC MAC users may want to have the INTEL version too" than saying "You have to download the Intel version too if you want to grab the license!". The first one brings freedom to PPC users, the later is an imposition without any freedom at all for the PPC users. The first one allows the PPC users to get the INTEL copy if they want, the later forces the PPC user to download 70MB plus if he or she wants the app to be cracked (when crack, as i've said already, it's only 17KB). BTW, why is not the license also included in the PPC version ?.

It's not included because i uploaded it first, before making the INTEL package. Regardless of that it's still a generous act of mine offering also the PPC version to download, not many consider this nowadays...

It's only that i don't consider you to be fair making people to download something that they COULD not need at all, just because you don't want to upload either the license in a single 17KB file, or explain them how to create their own valid license, or even re-upload PPC version with the license in, for all those who might need only that license and NOT the full INTEL version ... which to me, and allow me to use your own words, it's not as generous as you're pretending to be with PPC users.

And that's all ... which BTW has nothing to do with cleverness or fuzziness at all, but simply with a little bit of common-sense.

I'm more than fair - offering you out there some of my work, time and personal cracks! But I know how it is on the Internet: people always are asking for more +more, complaining, lamenting etc... They do NOTHING @ all and expect full and complete packages. I call it ungratefulness.

I agree with you, but i didn't meant anything of that, and you know it. I've just said what i've said, that's all. You take it or leave it. But personally i think it's up to oneself alone to watch to our own misery (even when that is pointed out by any other) and reflect on what we do, and of what we complain about ... because WE ALL complain and not only here but in the real life too. We can't blame others for the things that we also do in a way or another. So, i'm sorry if you felt hurt somehow by my words, but i still think that you have not been so fair, nor so generous, doing what you've done IN THIS CASE ALONE.

On the other hand (and i don't know if this will mean something to you), let me say that i'm REALLY GRATEFUL to you for all the things you share with us all. But you know this already, and you know also that this was not the point here .

Oh yes!, and you believe what you've said, isn't it?! C'mon please! As if they could not download this from here, there and everywhere and watch it. Have you really thought about you've said before saying it ?!. BTW, license system is still the same since the first v2 (and i don't know, but probably before that too). And despite that it has been cracked since then, they still use the same license scheme protection. So, they had plenty of time to change it if they really want it to change it, don't you think ?. Furthermore, where is your "PM if you want to know how i do it" in your post, if as you say, you really wanted to share it ?

Okey if PM is so hard here it is:

1. Open Text Edit with new document.
2. Enter 2 line of text:
User Name*
Copyright by Harrison Audio LLC
3. After text "LLC" press Return key
4. Save this as simple text document on your Desktop with name
license_key_harrison_mixbus2.txt
5. Run Mixbus2 application and enjoy

can only use VSTs and just some tape saturation built in to the mixer, available with any tape plugin on any DAW, i don't see much to write home about!

In case you could be interested in, i've just come to post a way on how to use your VST instrumentes with Harrison Mixbus on Mac, in AudioSex here. As i've said this trick is for Mac, but i'm prety sure that some of you, experienced windows users, will know about some similar tool to use the trick on windows too.

So, hope you enjoy Mixbus even more with this new "addon"!

Installed it on my macPro Quad 2.66 Ghz, OSX 10.7.5 and it won't even launch.
It crashes and I can't get to put in the license info.
Someone else had this problem?

Holy cow, it works. CAVEAT you have to put the licence file on your desktop and add ".txt" at the end. Then open your mixbus, whoosh the licence file disappears from your desktop and no more "unlicenced" text in the initial screen you see when it open!
