Have you tried an app like 'FXpansion VST to AU Adapter', for example,
to get them working within your 'LOGIC' DAW (or others MAC's DAWs
that rely on '.AU' Format) ?

@kook.... I ran the installer and the au plug through your suggested permission reset app... and that fixed the problem.
