Altiverb 6 is a convolution reverb plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows XP. It uses top quality samples of real spaces to create reverb, ranging from Sydney Opera House to the cockpit of a Jumbo Jet. Altiverb 6 offers the most extensive set of parameters, it supports all professional plug-in formats including protools TDM on the Mac, parameter automation and surround. Altiverb 6 gives you a choice between iLok SmartKey or Challenge/response copy protection, it lets you sample your own spaces (currently Mac only), and Altiverb is efficient on your cpu.

Altiverb 6 Regular is the Post and music production industry standard stereo convolution reverb. It comes with the renowned full library of impulse responses. * 1 known issue: Audio Unit fails validation in Logic 9, however as 'incompatible' plug-in Altiverb 6 functions fine, the next update will address this issue.

What's more is that I'm a registered Altiverb 6 user - yes, I paid for this some time ago... and yet I NEVER KNEW THIS UPDATE EXISTED until I saw this post. They have my email address on their database, and yet the cunts still didn't bother to tell some of their own customers there's a new version ready.

Yeah, keep waiting lyric8... at least another 2 years....

I mean an update is usually a fix, and last time i checked if it ain't broke don't fix it.

The Altiverb Impulse Responses are NOT included in this package!!
The Library comes with something like 1.9 GB of content so it's not easy to send it. You have to download it yourself somewhere!

I don't know if you can/want, but I'm facing a problem with Pro Tools 9.0.2 and Waves Complete 8r7, I can't use it ! PT crashes or don't want Waves... If you or someone got any idea about how to solve that...

I know it's prob not in your control, but Windows version would be great! I think Windows is behind a bit.

And to the person who said 'if it's not broke don't fix it'... there are several updates that the PC users haven't gotten now, that fix both host-specific issues, and decrease the load on the cpu and memory. Just because it's not broken doesn't mean things can't be improved...

Edit 2;; Well, this update isn't even for Windows (as in there is no windows equivalent) so would be impossible to upload. But-- as far as I know, windows is super far behind on sites like Audioz, the most recent update I've found is 6.1.2.

The latest windows version is Altiverb 6.3.5, and there have been some huge updates in between. An upload would be much appreciated!

no Not really true mate! If you check all audio sites on the www, 90% of the new releases or updates are for WIN/PC computers only [first]. Mac users have to wait usually longer to get the goodies.....if ever unlocked. It seems that not only arrogant Mac users want to have everything fast and complete....

Not what I meant Kookaboo, but you are absolutely right! I meant that there are several updates for Altiverb that PC users haven't received yet. Not sure if you were implying that I was being arrogant, but I hope my post didn't offend.

As for wanting it fast, 6.3.5 was 2 years ago, and some of the other important -altiverb- updates not released for PC date back as far as 4 years. I am not being unappreciative or mean to seem rude, especially since it may be a matter of no one even realizing the updates aren't available or needed. As always, I very much appreciate the time and effort that goes into each release, PC or Mac.

Again, thanks to the original uploader and those who post mirrors- I hope that cleared up the confusion. Not a native speaker, so I apologize if I seemed rude in the original post.

Maybe AudioEase does neglect PC users [Mac-soft can be sold at higher prices!] intentionally? BTW: The latest Altiverb update doesn't include big changes on the software itself 'cept it is now Lion compatible. Only the version number changed for me! sad

Kookaboo, I have the full impulse response library but the issue I have got (which was with the earlier version of AVerb) is that when I try to load a preset its greyed out and shows "[preset name] - no supported impulse response found" .. do you know any reason why this might be happening?

I don't think AudioEase is neglecting though, judging from the update notes and like you said, it really was only an update for Lion. The problem is just that PC users are using 6.1.2 right now, and should be on 6.3.5, which was released 2 years ago. But I'll wait patiently for an upload!

Maybe you installed a faulty crack? Which version do you have, 6.3.5 or older? Make sure to have all IRs installed in the same place, use also the "re-scan" option!

Kookaboo, Yes I had 6.3.5 of AVerb which I updated yest with your latest 6.3.7 Release, though I never ran an installer for IR's I had a data folder for them all which I placed in the default AVerb folder .. Would you happen to know where I can find a working crack of IR's for Mac?

It doesn't exist! I installed also 6.3.5 without any IRs, found them step by step on the www, installed each one by hand, scanned the folder and it always worked. The only thing is, you can't run libraries for Altiverb 5 on the new one.

Yeah I know you dont need a crack for IR's mate .. the only problem I have got is that I cant load presets

Also I found a few Mac installers for IR's but they did not work .. some I found would not run because they were built for Power PC Mac's and wont run on Lion

Well if you can manage to upload the IR's you have mentioned then that will be huge help yes
