Rename Komplete.db3 which is located:

/Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8

On relaunch of Kontakt it should show up.
And if everything worked properly delete the old Komplete.db3 you renamed

ugh, didnt work for me. actually broke kontakt lol. I had to completely uninstall and re-install.

That’s odd, was there any error or anything?

Renaming the db usually just makes it rebuild a new one which solves the whole not being able to see the tools

quote by fruitylooper
4.
Open standalone Kontakt 8
Click the Library button up the top
Click Tools
Click the little gear Icon near the bottom
Make sure you're in the Custom Libraries section
Click add and add each tool and see if they appear in the tools section

Note: you can hit CMD+Shift+G and copy-paste the paths below
/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8/Content/Tools/Chords/

/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8/Content/Tools/Phrases/

/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8/Content/Tools/Patterns/

Note: If the Tools are showing but images don't appear
Duplicate the folders chords, patterns, phrases from
/Users/Shared/NI Resources/image/

over to
/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8/PAResources/image/

They should appear after restarting Kontakt

Have you used the Add Library v4 tool?

When you open the Add Library app just point it to your Content Library folder and it should add all of them

Hopefully all your libraries will appear in Kontakt to start off with then we can try tackle the Tools section if needed 😊

you are in the right place - use the search function
Keep going...

Use this spreadsheet to help find what’s new that might be missing from your collection and start searching here!

If you’re a Komplete completionist like myself, make sure you have a TB or 2 space and be prepared to set aside a bit of time 😅

The Add Library tool included in this package is quite handy and will be your friend. There’s a few other tools included that might be worth getting familiar with too!

If you get stuck just ask for help, most of us are friendly (hopefully) 😂

I updated from 8.1.0 to 8.2.0 and now to 8.2.1
If it's the same source (in this case, HCiSO), you'll be able to upgrade without uninstalling.

However, I'm not entirely sure how it'll go with another source like MORiA and switching over to HCiSO, but if you're in that situation, it would be cool if you gave it a go and reported back for others who might be in that boat 😅

Otherwise, just uninstall and install this version ✨

some libraries are displayed, others are not and i have used KLU for the reinstall but without success and NA does not solve anything for me either.

i don't understand what could be happening.. because if I install new libraries that i had not previously installed, it does appear, BUT the ones i had previously do not appear even if I reinstall.

so confusing.....

previously installed libs they appear on Kontakt 5 only.

In the 8.2.0 version there was a "add library (version 4)" tool in the extra folder that worked great for me; I ran it once, it scanned my samples folder, and all my old libraries showed up, even the really old ones.

yes, i ran Add Library for macOS v4 multiple times too but with no results.

thank you!

Odd that it's showing up on Kontakt 5 but not on 8.
Have you tried checking if Kontakt 8 has Full Disk Access?
System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Full Disk Access

Otherwise, try renaming the database for Kontakt 8 (komplete.db3) that's located here
/Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Kontakt 8

and relaunch afterwards to see if your libraries appear.

Also, let us know if your libraries appear in KLU 😊

There's also the installed_products folder with all the .json files that might be worth trying to refresh

/Users/Shared/Native Instruments/

zip it up as a backup and relaunch Kontakt 8. Hopefully, it'll update them and show up.

Update:
There's another post saying that if you moved libraries prior that you'll want to use the Add Library app to update the locations but see how you get on

what it worked for me was to deleting the installed_products folder and, then, reinstalled my whole pack of libs through the Add Library for macOS v4.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

This fine HISCO release is working great for the most part.

Most of my Libraries are showing up but I have a few stubborn ones that refuse to work after I moved my library onto an SSD. .

I just cant get a few librazries that worked in 7 & 8 like AI Poseidon and constrictor to work.

I tried renaming the db3 & deleting Installed products but it still come up "uninstalled" despite showing up in the ADD Lib V4? Any ideas? thanks in advance

Yeah, I also missed the memo on getting the tools to show up.
Anyone care to toss me a preserver on that one?

Hey, PM if it's all cloak and dagger.
