You should add MAC in the title of this release to avoid confusion.

M1 works fine in standalone and VST3 (ARM mode). AU crashes Reaper and displays as not authorized in Logic Pro. So yeah, VR is not releasing stable stuff lately tbh

What exactly does this bundle include? All the EZmix expansions, or what?
  Member 28.12.2022 21

It contains a ton of expansions—possibly all of them.

Logic 11.0.1 in Rosetta mode --> EZMix 3 Works nicely.
Logic 11.0.1 in Native Mode --> EZMix 3 fails to load
Live 12 in Native Mode VST3 --> EZMix 3 Works nicely
Live 12 in Native Mode AU Crashes Live.

Thanks Team and all involved :)

ps. EZMix 2 AU Intel version runs nicely on Logic 11.0.1 in Native (ARM) mode.

I got it working in Logic Pro 11.0.1 in native mode (2023 Mac Mini M2 Pro), as follows:

(1) Manually rename the component to "EZmix3.component" (removing the space between the 'x' and the '3').
(2) Run Chumi_Perez's terminal command (below).
(3) Manually rename the component back to "EZmix 3.component (adding back the space between the 'x' and the '3').

(If necessary, one might need to perform the following additional steps):
(4) Open the Plug-In Manager in Logic Pro, and "Reset & Rescan" the plugin.
(5) Restart Logic Pro.
(6) Load the plugin.

Can confirm (Mac Studio M1 Max - 2022):
VST3 ARM working great in Cubase and Live 11/12
AU ARM crashing in Live 11/12

AU is not authorized. VST3 is ok

Seems ARM part of AU binary needs to be k'ed. Intel part works fine. Hope VR will make a second rev of their release for AU ARM users

As far as I can see you extract the intel part from the universal binary. And since the intel part is already k'ed, Logic will validate the plugin (without the ARM part of the binary) successfully. In other words the plugin will not run natively on apple silicon machines, right?

I have no idea. I just replicated this trick from other plugins that have kind of the same behavior. You can run Login in native mode, the plugin works, you can use it... sure it's not the perfect way, but it works

Easier (and more performant I think) to use PatchWork to load the VST3 in native mode. Running the AU in Rosetta reduces its performance given the CPU needs to translate the instructions.

Thank you!
Nice tip!

Workaround to use it in Logic Pro 11.0.1, M1 Sonoma 14.6.1.
The code in one piece to be executed in terminal:

cd '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZmix 3.component/Contents/MacOS'
mv 'EZmix 3' 'EZmix3'
cd '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/'
mv 'EZmix 3.component' 'EZmix3.component'

sudo xattr -cr /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZmix3.component
sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZmix3.component
sudo codesign --force --deep --sign - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZmix3.component

cd /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
sudo find . -name EZmix3.component -execdir lipo -extract x86_64 {}/Contents/MacOS/EZmix3 -o {}/Contents/MacOS/EZmix3.1 \;
sudo find . -name EZmix3.component -execdir mv {}/Contents/MacOS/EZmix3.1 {}/Contents/MacOS/EZmix3 \;

cd '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZmix3.component/Contents/MacOS'
mv 'EZmix3' 'EZmix 3'
cd '/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/'
mv 'EZmix3.component' 'EZmix 3.component'

Logic 11 / AU running Native (ARM) or Rosetta?

Running Logic native mode (Not Rosetta). Maybe the plugin is not running natively, but you can run Logic in native mode. This is what we can have in the meanwhile.

Yes!! The workaround works, I can confirm!

M1 Pro 16"

The problem should be in those characters like this
 3' '

You should copy the text as it is shown in a terminal window.

no, these characters were created when I quoted your post here, mate... I've tried in Terminal the right ones, provided earlier
