Don’t delay, delay today
DDLY Dynamic Delay responds to your track's musical dynamics to create versatile and intriguing delays. It's a one-of-a-kind effects plug-in that delays the signal differently depending on the character of the sound, without turning your track to aural mud. Adjust the threshold to split your signal based on transients, then send it down two separate analog or granular delay paths.

Get a cleaner, more complex sound than a traditional full-signal delay plug-in with DDLY!

Key Features
Two delays in one: DDLY analyzes your audio based on an adjustable threshold to determine what to send to the top delay and what to send to the bottom delay. Adjust the Intensity to affect how strongly the signal is split between the two—great for a punchy delay on the harder, transient crack of your drums and a shuffling delay on the main beat elements.
Customize your delay: Both delays have two modes to choose from: Analog or Grain. Analog produces warm lo-fi delays with smearing and nostalgic degradation. Grain produces melodic, symphonic, and futuristic sounds for truly new soundscapes.
Responsive interface: The interface of DDLY reacts to the material it’s applied to for unique real-time visual feedback. As the knobs come to life, your sound gets cooler. Go ahead, get ‘em all going!
Automatable: DDLY can be set up with automation in your audio host, to engage the dynamic delay on your mix when you want it to and back off when you need the raw material to shine.

in a world filled with delays, perhaps this looks interesting with it's dynamic/band specific approach (without all the hassle of setting up those filters yourself!).... I like a lot of the izotope stuff, but again, their demo's have been crap poor for awhile now in terms of showing what they can do.... now we can find out for ourselves... I know this one was released for free awhile back, but I missed it... thanks for the contribution platensoul as usual!
..grateful for HEXWARS, R2R, SYNTHiC4TE, CASHMERE & ALL teams, AZ crew past and present, and friends I have met here . RIP and LOVE to Olymoon and his family.

I downloaded this when they were giving it away.
There is no way to save your precious created presets.
There are no presets included either.
They supply you with a printable presets sheet to write them down.
If you want to start from scratch every time you use it, go for it.
We used to have to do this in the 70’s and 80’ and it’s a pain.
I finally put it in the garbage bin and wrote to them about how retro thinking it was and they were not nice about it.
I hope that this is not a new trend in music software.
Just my 2 cents...

ug, really Omman? Frack that. I can live without presets "provided", but if they think it is cute and retro to write it down, well they are wrong, and like you, that is a path I don't want to go down again with a DAW.... When I want to wing it, I will use my outboard gear and analog synths without recall.
Surely you must be able to save them in your daw? wow...

I will check it out later.... thanks for the heads up!

I can live without presets too, but they are a good starting point.
But not being able to save my own created presets = not useful.
And what happens when you want to use your hard worked created presets in another DAW ?.
You have to start over or write them down!!.. not good.
I actually work in different DAW’s and within the last 20 years changed my main DAW a couple of times.. so what then?.

Like I said, I hope it’s not a new trend

agreed... I switch daws like underwear (well I hope not that fast!).... or am multi-daw, but tend to "write" in one..... presets are great starting points, and I check them out too, especially with the amount of "noise" out there... but I have a feeling you are old like I am and are used to the days without....

writing down patches is not cute. this better not be a new trend... I have switched from Vision to Performer to Logic to Ableton to Reaper to PT from Atari ST to old hardware sequencers... I hear your pain and frustration at this movement... arghh...

Yeah you said it probably too old to still be doing it.
Started with hardware sequencers and drum machine in the early 80’s, then bought a Mac Plus and Performer , them moved to logic, then to studio one, then to Reaper and got so frustrated with system and plug-ins upgrades and incompatibilities that now i am trying Reason 8.
But, either they lack notation because I can read and write music, or certain functions I like are missing or they are to complicated to deal with ( 1,000 pages manuals) , also the eyes and ears are fading away etc…
I think I’m gonna put the key in the door at some point and leave it to the young generations to scratch their heads…

our paths are similar Onman! I started with mmt8's, atari, and sq80 onboard, mac plus, started with vision on mac, LOVED it, then SVPro, then when those Gibson bastards put them out of business had to move to a combo of DP, Reason, and PT (ug), then Logic, until Ableton.... just poked my toe in waters of reaper and should look at Cubase, Studio One....

I also agree with the pita of reading the mountains of manuals to just try and get back to the complete ease of workflow where you don't even have to think about it.... and my eyes are so so bad now, I need 3 monitors...(working on a laptop "can" be done, but only what I have too!!!)....

Too soon for me to give up though and pass the torch! although I do work with a lot of millenials.... and it's fascinating how they both perceive it in a both a cute and condescending way from me at times, coupled with the fact I learn some amazing tricks from them as their archetypes are SO different...

remember when cutting a beat on an akai or whatnot took an afternoon? (right along there with walking to school in the snow 5 miles uphill both way I suppose :))... but so it goes! Glad I have the underpinnings of both music theory and tech experience from actually having used "real" compressors and tape and rack mount samplers from the mirage to akais to whatnot.... never want to program a yamaha r16 or whatever that horrible sampler was, or hexadecimal edit on a Mirage! (but I am just being a crabby old man! :)) Nice to know there are some other old folks out here!

They gave this away on Black Friday.
In 2010 I gave up women and Booze. It was the worst 20 minutes of my life.
